With regards to your birth plan, if your notes are online thereâs normally a section to write your birth plan on there, if you have paper notes just write it down and hand it to the midwifeâs when you get to the hospital. My little boy was a ventouse delivery and I hadnât had an epidural, there head does go back to normal after a few weeks! I hope everything goes how you want xx
Keep positive, they donât know how long it will take, I had my first baby in May 2023 and my labour was an hour and a half and he was born. Itâs horrible to come away from a midwife appointment upset, I had that a couple of times during my pregnancy too. Sending positive vibes to youâĪïļxxx
I had my son in 2021 but I remember discussing my birth plan at my 36 week appt. & the midwife wrote it down on my notes so that when I went in to labour the midwives would know what I wanted/didnât want! Itâs sad you had such a negative experience, you should have had the opportunity to discuss your options properly xx
That midwife experience sounds so sad Iâm really sorry you experienced this. I wouldâve been feeling so low after that. Itâs good to have a birth plan, so when you go to the hospital the midwives know what you would like to do. It isnât always what happens but itâs nice to have one xx
I am in Leeds and there is an amazing Turkish grill in Rodley called Ephesus and one in Holbeck called Venus, near elland road but more laid back but amazing food xxxx
Sorry to hear about your experience. I had my baby boy 10 weeks ago, never had a birth plan either just had a few things I knew I definitely didnât want to have/have happen. I had the same situation with you regarding midwives and never had a discussion on birth plan and never had a great experience with the midwife appointments before birth unfortunately. However, when I had my son at 38 weeks I cannot fault the amazing midwives and how well they listened to me at the time and the aftercare. It was the most wonderful experience! First baby and 12h labour. Good luckðŦķðžxx
Really enjoyed this update vlog, I have my fingers crossed for you that baby boy arrives soon and that the birth goes as smoothly as possible ð I donât mean this in a rude way at all but I noticed Jamie looking at his phone a lot when he was driving ð it made me sad to see!
Thank you! ðĪ He had maps up to see where we were going, thatâs what heâs looking at - not for any other reason. But agree he needs to get a holder or something!!
Iâm sorry youâve had that experience with the midwife itâs not nice, especially as a first time mum. She doesnât know, you may have a very quick labour. Hope all goes well just relax xx
Far too many people are having awful experiences with midwives lately :( I'm so sorry you didnt have a good experience but please don't let her change your mindset on them all! As for birth plan I believe now it's all online with your notes X
I think Iâve just been abit unlucky with my local one - Iâve been into the maternity assessment unit / triage a couple of times and every single midwife and doctor weâve come across there has been faultless so I know there are so many amazing ones out thereðĪðĪ
Please report that midwife, she should not be dismissing you like that and you should be given ample opportunity to discuss all birthing options with a trained professional. Maybe ask for another appointment with a different midwife? Xx
I kind of disagreeâĶmidwifeâs have a really tough, responsible job/dutyâĶa birthday plan should be please ensure to the best of your ability that my baby arrives safelyâĶtheir not there to plan out all these unrealistic âbirthing plansâ (not saying that she is requesting anything extra) but the most important thingâplanâ should be the safe arrival of this human beingâĶreporting her is unfair and unnecessary.
@@avt30I understand what your saying but a âbirth planâ doesnât just mean ooh Iâd like to go in the pool please. Itâs discussing medication options and the risks and benefits etc. which every pregnant person should be given ample opportunity to discuss and understand to make informed decisions during their birthing journey x
write ur birth plan down on paper n bring it with you.... ie.. no pain relief.. bath... no intervention.... whatever u wish... BUT... U have go into the labour ward with such an open mind because anything can happen and control can be taken away from u to get baby delivered safely.... jus take deep breaths and embrace it molly... u will be fine
Ignore her Molly, she sounds horrible! Your baby boy will decide how he comes out! End of! My first birth was quick and relatively painless! You will smash it, just always think of the end result! Your boy! ð
