    Kleemann is the company that actually supplied the lift kit that was installed as "Express". They are a greek company with many connections to Germany. They usually use a Schneider LISA controller in their installations.

      +xyz751 This one has Zetalift logic. There is a zetalift controller instruction manual on top the lift. Kleeman has pretty much done nothing with this lift. What is the point of buying a lift from kleeman when all they have done is buy the parts from other companies, mainly ZIEHL-ABEGG. Surely the generic companies can cut the middle man and buy direct from ZIEHL-ABEGG.

      @xyz751 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Beno: Ziehl-Abegg does not make controllers. Zetalift is actually their software to calculate lift systems, not a lift logic. The motors are named ZETATOP and the vvf drive is called ZETADYN (it's the blue and white box that can be seen in the video). The Lift controller (i think LISA in this case) gives the order to the ZETADYN system which only controls the motor. I know this from my daily business (german lift inspector), we have a lot of generics these days. Take a look at the ZIEHL-ABEGG website, it's very good!
      Usually the controller of an MRL generic lift is in a cabinet which is accessible from outside the lift (sometimes this cabinet is also situated in a room quite far away from the lift). There is also a possibility to open the brakes in case of a stuck lift (Often a battery is used to do this in case of a power failure).
      The point of buying the Kleemann kit instead of building the lift on their own is, that you get the whole lift as a kit. Everything is included, small companies mostly don't build everything on their own. The second point is that the lift kits are often pre-inspected and may be installed in the EU with less calculating and inspecting which makes it cheaper. The generic company then guarantees that they built this lift just as the kit is delivered and the first lift inspection is only checking that the right parts where used. This is a standard procedure in the E.U. The third point is the price. Companies like Kleemann buy lift components in large quantities and sell lift kits cheaper than a small generic company could buy the parts separately.

      +xyz751 I didn't realise this. You know more than I do. :-)
      Since the Zetalift is a logic for positioning the lift then why does it still level. I thought that the whole point of a separate system for positioning than the normal controller was so that it can precisely manage the lifts position. It would be better if it did a controlled deceleration rather than spend time levelling.
      The controller I hate the most is Lester controls. I hate the way it pauses before doing anything. And I hate the way that they use a modern VF drive but use it as a simple 2 speed lift. If they have gone to the effort of using VF then why don't they use it to improve the lift. Lifts that get modernized with Lester controls are almost always take longer to go between floors than they did before.
      Another thing, do you know what controller says "This lift is under inspection control". It keeps saying this in a very silly voice all the time its in inspection. It is annoying as it gives away that I am surfing it. Also this controller replaced an awesome 90s schindler which did a controlled deceleration (no levelling). This new controller actually levels. Whoever thought that this is a good replacement is a total idiot and should be banned from modernising lifts.

    Otis are the expensive lifts (although gen2s aren't all that expensive or they would be a lot less common), ExpressEvans & Evans are the mid-low-range & Express Lifts Alliance are the Ultra-Low-End Ultra-Cheap lifts.

    • @benolifts
      @benolifts  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The Express lift alliance is ExpressEvans. it is the same thing, they just renamed it.

    At Next in Market Place in Bolton, they have that same thing about Kleemann . It still confuses me to this day. Also, after the virus has gone, would you be ale to do a lift adventure in Bolton. There's also another Next in Bolton, which has...an Oakland! WOW! NOT.

    What’s that red flashing thing in the shaft by the cables

  • @38911bytefree
    @38911bytefree 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    How do you move the lift car (hand winding) in case of emergency of total failure with this crap setup putting the motor in the shaft ?.

    • @benolifts
      @benolifts  8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +38911bytefree There will be a way of freefalling it from the logic cabinet. It either has a separate logic for freefall rescue, or there is a bike cable that release the brake when you pull it.

    • @38911bytefree
      @38911bytefree 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      ***** I would took the last one. If motor of VF drive quits, no redundant logic will move the lift car. If it is geared like this one ... releasing the brake wont help ... I see tooooooooo many things that are supposed to meet regulations .... a machine mounted like that .... where you are not able to hand wind the car o control the car in any way .... that is very poor ..... regulations ... yeah .....

    It appears Kleeman did something with the fixtures, but yes, this is a generic install by ELA using the Zetadyn drive system Liftronic (generic) uses in Australia in conjunction with a Ziehl-Abegg VVVF MRL machine. If it uses a similar controller to what Liftronic uses (the Unitronic/FST2 controller), when returning to service it will go to the lowest floor after a call is placed (without opening the doors), but will then travel to the floor where the call was placed and be back to normal mode. I have photos on my Flickr from Holsworthy Station's Liftronic MRL (amongst many other pics): www.flickr.com/photos/jaymietreadwell/albums/72157635212454459

      That indicator was made by LiSA. I've seen some generics here in Indonesia using that type of indicators.

    was that some kind of laser distance sensor around the top of the cab to make it stop if you stick your foot over the edge while surfing?

    • @benolifts
      @benolifts  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +batlin no, I have never seen anything like that on top of a lift.

      its an anti surfing device, if you was to switch the lift to normal whilst on top the lift wont move until you get off.

    For a brand new lift, this is very poor and doesn't meet the DDA guidelines (no button beep, no voice, no chime, and no exit-floor button), but it does have braille on the buttons.

    Kleemann are a lift company in Greece but supply a small number of parts to the UK division. So other companies buy generic parts and put it with Kleemann parts so it's part generic and part real. Stupid really...

    • @benolifts
      @benolifts  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +DarkOverlord It is 100% generic. It has kleeman doors and flat packed lift cab. Kleeman is a stupid generic company. The motor and VF are Ziehl abegg. Some comments say the entire lift is sold as a kit by Kleeman. The only part of this lift which seems to have some quality is the motor. Everything else is total crap generic.

    This is nothing more than an true German generic! Thoose are realiable. I do recognise the floor indicator, wich is common among german elevators.On the other hand, I have Heard awful stories about Kleeman. They are a generic brand from Germany that makes generic elevators in many countries in Europe. I Think it is the only generic comapny that makes elevators in many different countries. (Including Sweden, were some fellow filmer found some...)

    • @SummerADDE_Elevators
      @SummerADDE_Elevators 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +ADDEs Transporting Adventures! Also, the fixtures are NOT Dewhurst, but might be Schaefer Budgetline, or Kronenberg. (They appear to be similar, but have different feel upon press... I don't know what exacly makes them different.) Either way, the buttons are from germany too, Another german generic quality Product I really love! :)

    • @xyz751
      @xyz751 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +ADDEs Transporting Adventures! Actually, Kleemann is only a german sounding company, they are in fact based in greece but they use german components and I think they have german engineers.. They supply lift kits that are installed by any other company and may be installed in the whole EU. They use a Schneider LISA controller which is quite common in Germany that's why the indicator is similar to many german lifts.
