Also keep in mind Metro has changed it's unlocking policy to 12 months now instead of 6 months. If you have a cheaper plan and are grandfathered in, just keep it. Slick Metro, very slick.

If you bought the phone it should be unlocked right away you should not have to wait 6 or 12 months as you are paying full price for the phone if you are an existing customer.

I mean Metro has had their $60 plan for many years which was their most expensive plan, now it's $70 but has more value than was offered in the past 15 years. The real part that people will get screwed is if they need multiple lines, before the best plan for 4 lines was $120, now $180 without autopay. I get what you're saying though, you can get a single line for way cheaper with unlimited data, just depends on the person needs.

CS sucks. They are cheap. $9.25 for unlimited talk and text, 4.5 gb data. I use them as a back up line. Can’t really recommend after recent debacle. It depends which plan you get. If you get their most expensive phone they will give you a decent/nice phone (for example: 2024 Motorola Moto G Stylus. Which is a pretty nice phone. However, I will also say that the version of the moto g stylus metro released is super watered down when it comes to features when compared to the one released by Motorola.) However if you get their lower costing plans they will give you a T-Mobile branded phone.
