What’s up with that? Korea automotive is the world leading vehicle manufacturers nowadays.
Hyundai and Kia are the top selling car and for the record, in 2020 Kia ranked 2nd and Hyundai ranked 10th while Toyota in 20th and Honda in 21st for the most problem car research by JD Power.

At that price point, it is not a leap frog in terms of offerings on the interior nor the exterior. C'mon, rm350k for a hyundai. Hyundai still is not in the same league as Toyota or Honda.

Its good HSDM chose to bring in the spec with all the bells and whistles. However, considering the price tag, it's better if they bring in the same spec just like in the Indonesia so they can position the price lower.
Good luck to Hyundai on that price tag in Malaysia. "Smart buyers" are welcomed.

More like you buy 1 Staria for yourself but need to also buy 2 more units for the government. But almost any new car above 200k is like that. Already paid high tax on income still need to pay crazy tax on car purchase. That is why many prefer to buy used or recond.🤣🤣
Don't worry Staria There are many country still can accept your cars models such as Australia,UK,Indonesia,Thailand And Others.
In Australia, the 2.2 diesel comes with awd as standard.
The design is very futuristic..i will wait for the future price..

350k is too much for a starex with lower number of chair, but the luxurious interior and beautiful exterior and instruments panel should put this car at price max of 290k, maybe that would sell

I really like Kia n Hyundai vehicle most of the lineup are good if not great, but boy this one really really spoils it, the only luxury that I see is the price tag. Really like to test drive the Palisade now that one is really nice.

I beg to differ on this. The 2.2 diesel engine fitted on this van is among the reliable engine with decent power from Hyundai. Considering the road tax structure, that's why they fit this powertrain. If not, for sure they bring in the 3.5L V6 engine.

Another DOA product from H senget.. With that price, many will prefer T badge over Kpop. Everything is cool until the price part. Didn't expect its over 300k consider it replacing Starex. More than double the price.

well that's just how futuristic design looks. but introducing this design now is such a bad idea as most people don't know how to appreciate those design yet (because not all places is futuristic yet). they should've have introduce this design at least in 2050. for example imagine the difference when this weird looking futuristic car cruising down the mostly old and cheap malaysian road and not so futuristic malaysian landscape. the contrast is hilarious. well this is solely my opinion, others might vary.
