Yess! People always trying to book for Thursday & Fridays so their cars are looking good for Saturday and Sunday. And there is also people always booking for Saturdays to have their car ready for the whole week.
Brother if you’re running ads run them from Thursday at 5pm to Sunday midnight.

Stay pretty busy with a few slow days. I just use those days to clean van or work on advertising and marketing.

most people think their car will only stay clean for one minute after a detail. your client needed pictures before the wife touched the car, and people think if they get a detail on tuesday, the car will be wrecked by friday. this is not the case and just silly. half of a detail is clean/shine, and the other half is protect. market that. push it. when people know you are protecting a car from lasting dirt and wear, they will feel more comfy knowing they can keep it clean for at least the first few weeks after a detail, there is also the idea of getting little spray bottles from the dollar store, mixing up a spot cleaner, and giving them to customers with a microfiber when they pick up their car to help them keep it clean through the weekend. this actually helps you on the maintenance clients. you can make up a solution of a spot wax or waterless wash and give them the custom mix in the gift bottle. they get excited at the gift, and they know they can keep the car clean from the monday detail until the weekend. promote monday and tuesday washes with a 5% discount, its not a lot, but people feel it is. that works in LA, I dunno how that is out in the dessert.
It really depends on the owner and how they drive it, also the weather, city construction, etc. Dark colored cars here can get dirty within minutes after a detail especially if it’s windy, and most people don’t want to wipe the car down even if everything is provided.
what truck are you looking at? sounds like you are gonna bring a crew to a location and do tons of cars on site. cool, man. great idea. I think a couple of canopies would be good to throw on the van/truck when you go. that dessert sun changes the way you detail, man.

Before you decide on a truck go out and test drive different ones. I did and I am glad because I ended up with the one that drives the best, which was the silverado.. The ram I drove didn't have good enough brakes, the toyota was too stiff for my liking.

Nahhhh😂 honestly at this point. I rather not work than lowering my prices to get work.
However I do offer some discounts when they bundle many cars/packages at once.
