I've been to Bogen twice. This year and in 2022. Im pretty sure I unknowingly walked past your tent. I recognize the armor! On another note... I've been to Schloss Waldburg recently. They have a shield on display. A replica. It strongly reminded me of the stuff you make. Is there a chance that it is actually a shield you made? Like that they commissioned you to make it for their exhibition? Its a 'heater shield' with three black lions on yellow.
I didn't drush the veggies ;). Adding salt in order to make a paste out of the garlic is just a shortcut that saves time by being faster then cutting :) . My brother who is a professional cook tought me that live hack :)
I'm not gonna lie, I'm a bit sad to hear there's no roleplay. What's the point in dressing up as a medieval knight if you're not gonna pretend to _be_ a medieval knight? I know I'd be running around going "thou" and "ye" the whole time
I'm 100% on board with recreating historical events or speeches with historical language, but aside from planned stuff like that I'm personally not very fond of casual roleplay. It's just very awkward to me.
roleplaying has an enormous rats-tail. In the end wearing an armour doesn't turn you into a person from the medieval ages; You are still you, but with different "clothing" :) . If a person from the medieval ages would time travel to a medieval event (for some reason), he would most likely spent his whole time asking about the electric lights, the houses arround, the visitors cloths, cars (!!!!!) , ........ and so on ; He'd never talk to people about the age he's from, but ask about the age he's in. The only rolplay you see from time to time is in the field battle between the leaders of the two parties. And even that is clearly done with a wink. :)
@@TheShieldery No one said you have to act like a total buffoon, but getting into character, thinking up a name and a persona and acting like the character when you’re talking to other characters is really fun! You don’t have to be a medieval person who get sent back in time, you can just pretend to be one living in the middle ages, that’s what the whole fair is for. Idk, maybe I’m biased because I’m a huge d&d nerd.
Fine. I’ll join the Patreon. Want that goulash recipe.
Also good to see you fighting🤗.
thanks! the psot with the recepie is open to public thoguh ;)
@@TheShieldery well regardless, here’s some money for you. Keep up the great work!

For crushing the veggies you can try a small mortar and pestle

Hi! The green linnen tunic I wear for most of that video is aimed at hattin 1187. The Buhurt armor is roughly for Azincourt 1415.
Oida, des muass i ma as nächste moi amoi oschaun!
Can anybody tell me where the second Event was located? I am quite curious because of the Sachsenross on the Tower.
The second event was in haag, as you can see in the chapters :)
@@TheShieldery Now I feel a little stupid. 😅Thanks a lot.

Its usually cringey since its overacted and not accurate speech anyway.
That is the difference between LARP and historical reenactement
