- How Powerful Is Battle Beast? If you have seen Invincible, you might already be acquainted with their planet-breaking power and how they are one of the strongest species within their respective universe. However, one of the greatest warriors was someone of feline ancestry in the form of Thokk, popularly coined as Battle Beast within the furthest reaches of the cosmos. From conquering thousands of worlds to beating the hell out of the mightiest Viltrumites, it's pretty evident and quite likely that this buff powerhouse is arguably the strongest character in the entire franchise. So, how strong is Battle Beast? Was he truly the strongest warrior in the universe, or was he never worthy of such a title? I like how Battle Beast basically showed up in what would have been a filler Arc. It's so absurd he was even on Earth for ANY job. It's like hiring Galactus: Eater of Planets to back you up for a street fight.

Battle beast got a MASSIVE power-up alter in the series.
The best thing about battle beast is how they introduced him as if he was just a random side villain then out of nowhere it just so happens he might be one of the most powerful in invincible.

For me it really helped the transition to the interplanetary scope later in the comics. It makes the universe instantly larger, alludes to where the story will go, and gives this tremendous milestone for where the power scaling would go.

The fact that he gave Thragg a handicap to make it equal ground instead of killing him shows that he was top 2 in the verse

Don’t smart cells allow Viltrumites to fight at full power even with normally fatal wounds, Battle beast doesn’t have smart cells so wouldn’t that mean Battle beast was in an even more nerfed state physically than Thragg

@@jot_1867 That's not skill, it's an innate biological advantage (and really a superpower in and of itself).
It means that Battle Beast became more and more fatigued throughout the fight and with each injury like a normal organism, while Thragg didn't. Despite this, Battle Beast nearly won. The argument presented in the comment we're replying too is that if Battle Beast had a similar ability, he'd likely have won, which is a compelling argument IMO.

No where in the comics is that ever stated or implied.
And it would go against the theme of the climax (Thragg was in so much pain from the sun he was slowed down, mark was accustomed to pain and won).

I felt it was bad writing. It never explained how he is able to access a network of alien assassins/bodyguards/fighters. If he was able to contract battle beast, why didn’t Cecil when he needed to stop Omniman?
It makes so much sense that Battle Beast is voiced by Michael Dorn in the show. For those who don’t know, he played Worf in Star Trek TNG and DS9 and he was all about being a warrior and fighting with honor.

Battle Beast is a pretty cool power metal band irl. They're pretty strong.
So here's my thingie; Battle Beast would've fatally wounded himself regardless.
If he wins, he wouldn't want to live knowing there were no more battles to challenge him.
If he loses, he dies in the ultimate battle by a superior foe.
I think Battle Beast knew he would've won with no handicap, even if Superman Freddie Mercury wasn't injured. But he didn't want to accept that he was actually the strongest, because that would've been worse than dying. Living without purpose

BB may have "lost" against Thragg, but it was actually a draw fight, because Thragg would have died if not for his medical team saving Thragg after the fight.
I'm not gonna count BB being unarmed against Thragg though, since BB specifically chose to be unarmed.

Usually when an overpowered character is introduced he or she needs an epic entrance, flashbacks or even the power of plot. But Battle Beast? He gets there, he wrecks shits and leaves bored and unsatisfied because the main characters and their friends are too weak against him. Wow what a Chad.

Battle Beast is just Yujiro Hanma if he was born as. a Space Lion or something. He wants all the smoke. He truly exists purely for problems.
He shows up to your party, you better leave and hope you have insurance. Because somebody's getting knocked and that place is gonna be destroyed. Battle Beast may not be a Viltrumite in blood like Mark, Nolan, and Thragg, but he certainly has the warrior mentality to end.

You can wank Kenpachi to uni all you want but you can also get Battle Beast to uni via canon cross over scaling. On top of that no wank can get Kenpachi even close to Battle Beast terms of speed
The best thing about Thokk isn't that he's strong, it's that he's such a Giga Chad that despite being a 'villain' he's still a hero.
Battle Beast showing up in the show is the equivalent of:
- Madara showing up during the Leaf invasion in Pt. 1.
- Golden Frieza in the Namek arc.
- Yuha Bach in the Soul
Society arc.
To me not really. All of those characters were kinda hyped up and foreshadowed before they appeared on screen. Battle Beast was a completely random opponent who was just unworldly strong almost for no reason. He had no reputation or hype in the series. He's closer to Boros from One Punch Man to me as far as random impact

I hope you do an episode on Atom Eve because, as cool as Battle Beast is, it's not like he is underestimated. With Atom Eve you have to use your brain and media comprehension abilities to understand how powerful she actually is, because she is not as hyped up and hasn't really been able to show off her true potential
Viltrumits seems quicker than battlebeast, but he probably has at least 15% more strength than tragg I think.
Battlebeast is way quicker on the ground than viltrumites, but he is slower in air, because he can't fly, only super jump.
Flight would have helped Thragg greatly too, the advantage in leverage would be significant.

BB fought and died with honour just like a samurai...he will only fight the bravest and strongest and fight till his last breath I can't wait to see more of BB in the upcoming seasons , this story really made me shed a tear once he died... doing what he loved fighting the most powerful adversary in my mind he won that fight
Fantastic video. I always appreciate it when you also go over the characters's history and not just their feats and abilities, like you did with Battle Beast's final battle with Thragg. Battle Beast vs Kenpachi sounds like an interesting and thematic matchup, although I'd love to see Battle Beast vs Boros as well.

I remember in the comic those Ragnar lived in a planet with unbelievably high gravity yet they were able to jump high enough and fast enough to catch Nolan as he tried to fly away. I think them, and Space Racers were his toughest opponents.
I was so nervous for mark when he fought thragg cause thragg had his biggest feat defeating battle beast . So thragg had to get a little stronger after his glorious win on Battle beast but marks fathers loss gives him strength clearly
Good breakdown but I was very distracted by the "like" usage. Might want to cut some of that out or retape some of the audio in editing if you notice it that high.
Battle Beast vs Kenpachi... that's rough. DC and durability-wise, I'd say Kenpachi should have the edge; he should be low-planetary to planetary in shikai, scaling from the ease of his asteroid and boundary breaking feats, and his Bankai would make him ten times stronger than that, however his endurance has yet to be truly tested. If Battle Beast can survive long enough then Kenpachi could be worn down enough to falter, and we know for a fact that Battle Beast had ridiculous endurance and stamina. The main issue is that, as of this year, Kenpachi's story isn't yet over. He's had over a decade to become stronger and perfect his abilities, which were still brand new during the war against the Quincies, and over the next few years we'll likely see him fight against the denizens of Hell in the new arc and show his new limits.

I just got into the series and it’s lore and I must say, I didn’t really have any favorites other than Noland AKA Omni man just due to the sheer complexity of his character but as of now battle beast is my top favorite. He’s literally the Brolly of the series and I am just like wow from this short but sweet video about him. If there was a whole movie literally just about him and his journey in becoming one of the most if not the most known and powerful warrior I would pay to see it. As somewhat heartbreaking it is to see such a character die I will say it is even more so heartwarming to see that he died not only for and doing what he believed in which was honorable combat but he died having the time of his life and even after giving Thrag and ass whooping and nearly killing him, Thrag still honored him as a warrior after death which is all a being like battle beast could ever ask for. He died as he lived, a fucking bad ass with I dare say it; no equal. Definitely the Achilles of the entire series and I am glad, honored, and grateful to have been introduced to such a character. Thank the stars for this TH-cam channel and your knowledge.

Battlebeast is my favourite character in the series. He is just the embodiment of badassery
battle beast is the type of guy who wont get mad at someone or a group for trying too kill him instead he will get mad at them for not sending stronger enemies and for not sending a army at him
What's crazy about this isn't that Battle Beast would have won without the injury he inflicted on himself (I know he wanted a fairer fight since he's an honorable fighter) but one thing I don't see anyone mentioning is that he could've won as well had the injury not been as severe. By comparison Thragg's injury didn't seem as bad (it was still detrimental but likely not to the same extent from the visual depiction shown) plus Thragg's injury was caused by an opponent not quite on his level of power (just powerful enough to hurt him and he was caught off guard and being overwhelmed by multiple opponents while it occured) while Battle Beast is comparable to Thragg in strength and used his huge fucking sword to impale himself. The injury seemed larger and you see his internal organs exposed and even spilling out a bit. Mad respect, overall an epic fight. Also although Thragg won he collapsed immediately after due to exhaustion and injury so in a sense it could be considered a tie since he would have died if he hadn't been treated immediately by his subordinates.
On further inspection one could even argue Battle Beast came into the fight subconsciously wanting to die an honorable death to a worthy opponent. He mentioned he had been waiting for that day and a fight of that magnitude would give his life meaning. He had nothing to lose but everything to gain. Honestly had he won he probably would've felt unfulfilled afterwards never being able to find someone that gives him the same thrill as his fight with Thragg (unless he died after winning because he wasn't treated like Thragg was because in that case he'd likely die satisfied knowing he beat a juggernaut in his toughest last battle)
The fight also Took Days and Thrag has a healing factor while BB does not

BB is def stronger than Thragg. It's the fundamental conflict to his character that he IS the most powerful, but also the least invested in the outcomes of the violence.

Battle Beast is one of the coolest, if not THE coolest of all Invincible characters. An absolute sigma chad.
And while Kenpachi vs Battle Beast sounds neat, I think Lord Boros fits him way more as a fight. Both are “the strongest in the universe”, alien planet conquerors and seek the good fight. “Finally, a worthy opponent! Our battle will be legendary!”

I keep remembering back when i saw Battle Beast in the episodes, At first when these new gen heroes were taking him on along with other villains and the crime boss i was like "Eh, I'm sure they got this" But after the results of what Battle Beast has done i was like "Dafuq....he's that strong?!" I probably should of expected that since i keep thinking how these Marvel and DC villains like him were treated 😅
Battlebeast wasn't at full power and he doesn't have a healing factor like viltrumites so thragg had an advantage so the fight could have gone either way

It's a great video, so my only criticism is you say "like" and "literally" waaaaaaaaay too much. It started to drive me nuts, and it really beigns to undervalue the magnitude of the topics or ideas you're presenting. It's not bad editing, narration, or presentation otherwise.

Battle Beast deserves a comeback. His kind must happen again in that Universe. The saga ended but the universe is still there. Someone else can continue the story.
