Since every new civ introduced is better then the last, there is no standard for the civ balance, it is a constant circle of stronger units and cards, and is never focused on being balanced. This is obvious because the next new thing is always "better" (Mexico musketeer & grenadier for example) They always need to make bigger and better to keep the "balancing" going, but in reality they are just selling you more to make more $$$. This is what the asian dynasties started doing - You could see the trend happening there already - and It needed to be stopped by nerfing the civs, not continued (hence why Japan was never balanced).

I used to play this game when I was a child, and now I wanted to play it again but all I could find was the definitive version through Xbox and Steam. Definitive is not good? Been playing for a few weeks but I don't know the differences. Enlighten me please 🙏
