I think this is the best and most beautiful model you can buy. Great job, Joe, thanks for that! I finished mine yesterday and will make a video in German about it.
can anyone explain what the protrusion off the counter weight is? some kind of mass dampener? Im pretty sure its historically accurate but i dont think medieval engineers were smart enough to put a mass dampener on these
I read that it was a shock absorber. Unfortunately I don't quite understand how it works. Probably it should prevent the counterweight from swinging too much.
I once read that you could adjust the height of the arc. Shallow throws against walls, high for buildings behind them. Does anyone know how that was possible?
The sling end that releases mid swing would probably be angled differently on the main beam of the trebuchet, that could cause a delay in the time the projectile departed the trebuchets, leading to a shorter throw or a more lobbed throw

Is there an european website? 'cause this doesn't ship to Italy
I used some leftover wood pieces to close off the counterweight to prevent the BBs from escaping. Works pretty well.
Just finished building mine! I love it!
Just ordered mine and I cannot wait!
Could this handle lead pellets as counterweight?
That looks really cool. Is it able to put an eye out?

En el mundo real. Cómo ponían el seguro ( 0:36 ) entre las poleas para iniciar la torsión? Subiendo con una escalera?
