- Awesome drumclinic by Nic Collins, at Adams Drumworld festival, September 22, 2024, the Netherlands.
Behind the lines / Duke's end 😎
Outro talk by Nic.
It was simply AWESOME seeing the drumming so close. I went 8 times to the last tour (The last Domino) but could never get this close to the drums (not even on front row!).
Really inspiring, for me, being a #wannabedrummer and #veganproghead 😉
And #behindthelines was my forum name on the GENESIS forum, back in 2006-2007 😎 One of my favourite songs!
Recorded some other songs too, see other videos.

Hey Nick Awesome Jam! I started playing Drums 42 years ago because of Your Dad. I am now a Pro-Drummer and very Thankful to Phil for inspiring me to Play Drums. Its better than any Doctor visit. Cheers GOD Bless You and Phil!🥁🎧🫂
My favorite Genesis song, along with Guide Vocal, and Duke’s travels.
Brilliant thanks for posting.
Trying not to be biased here. NIc is his own man. He does have his dad's style, but Nic looks to have come into his own. I LOVE to tone paying tribute to his father and Nic has a power to his technique as well. Nicely done!
Heaven all over again ❤❤❤
great!
Man, that kit sounds amazing. The snare is so full sounding!
❤😂🎉❤❤😂😢😢😮😢
He was on fire in this.
Cool to see Nic holding it down and doing justice to his dad's great compositions.
Solid no question.
❤😂❤😂😢😮😢😢❤😂
Ya know.. It took Jason Bonham many years of playing to find his lane. Same is true for Nick.. He's really coming along quite nicely. Wishing his Dad all the best!

I like Nic and think he prime is still years away. Having studied his playing now for a few years, it's apparent to me that he does not (yet) have his dad's finesse or feel when playing Genesis tunes. He plays the notes currently and is a talent all of his own. Not denying that, but he still has a bit of stiffness when playing these tunes that Phil nor Chester had.
I agree. He’s good but his old man was exceptional! especially when younger, the later stages of the SEBTP and LLDOB tours, Phil was untouchable!
@@mayhem492 : Phil also reached another peak between the 1990 'But Seriously' and 'WCD' tours. His playing was also exceptional. More concise than 1973, but just as musical and creative.
I always see the dw cymbal stands flop over like that. I’ve never had it happen with my Pearl stands.
I think Nic might have to switch to the counter weighted Tama booms. They might be better.
