I think Grett decided to get rid of Alec because of the two feuds: Jake vs Ally and Connor vs Riya. With those two feuds going on, it keeps her safe out of being fought against, and she is free to manipulate how she pleases
I feel like the criticism towards Ally has been a lot more than it should be, the idea that she stopped caring what others think about her just based on Riya and Grett, but they were just the last ones to push her over the edge. Just go back and watch the episode where everybody returns, Tess and Hunter talk to her about this and I feel like that played a big part in her stopping caring about what people think and now Grett and Riya are able to get her to stop caring completely because they have experience with what she is going through. Although, while Tess and Hunter were saying that they meant "the old Ally", the caring one, the one that was considerate of others. And now we see Ally that is simply obnoxious and don't care for anyone but herself, basically mini-Riya. I get that the messeges from Tess and Hunter and Grett and Riya sounds similar, but Ally didn't fall from the coconut tree. She exist in a context. The messeges she got as well. And while Hunter and Tess were trying to uplift Ally by helping her with hate that she's got Riya and Grett only "care" for her as long as she's helping them doing what they want from her. I understand why the latter seem to be more appealing on psycological level, but it's often the "more appealing" answer the one that is the "easier" one ergo the wrong one. Not only the message is important but also who delivers it.

For anyone confused how 4 adult struggle on this with 2 of them winning this type of challenge before, that is actually people realistic to happen to contestants or reality shows IRL with puzzles. Seems easy but being on reality shows can mind-screw to someone to not doing something that looks simple. Silly Billy ever since Yul’s elimination the next 3 eliminations have been from a 2 person friendship. 1. The duo between Gabby and Grett starts to return Gabby gets eliminated . 2. Aiden’s and Jake’s friendship grows stronger Aiden gets eliminated. 3. Alec’s and Connor’s friendship grows stronger Alec gets eliminated. If this pattern repeats then either Jake or Connor might get eliminated next and that scares me.
The fact that Alec lost a puzzle challenge is contrived so he could be eliminated this episode. Idk why they gave Gret immunity when it didnt effect the vote anyways.
Just to mention, after the votes, Grett says she wanted to keep the temperament between those 4 (I mean Riya vs Connor and Ally vs Jake) so Grett can be the swing vote for those and it's more likely that she is making the final, it was smart to take out Alec imo
The puzzle quest is funny, but it's really a task where the Survivor contestants have trouble solving it under pressure even though they have fewer pieces than this one. I guess it's about the phenomenon that under pressure, stress and hurry, the brain's concentration is somewhere else than in solving puzzles, and it makes a task that would be easy under normal circumstances harder and more challenging.

I think Grett’s decision at the end is pretty smart. I would’ve rather had Riya be the first boot of the season myself, but in the context of being in the game, Alec is fairly put together by this point and his outward goal for the past few episodes was getting back on Connor’s good side. That combined with Grett’s scolding of him a couple episodes ago could easily lead to Connor and Alec teaming up to vote Grett out if Alec succeeds. Meanwhile, Connor and Riya are at odds as are Jake and Ally. Those two duos vastly dislike each other and would jump at the chance to get the other one out. Being in the final 5 in a position where you’re no one’s primary target is a dream position to be in and Grett accomplished that here.
The girls alliance has the majority if they disobeyed Grett she would punish the other of them that doesn't win immunity in the next challenge,since they obeyed Grett they have a higher chance of convincing her to help make Riya get 5th
Grett wants to keep the two pairs of enemies around Alec was too neutral and gave Riya too much power and him Jake and Connor would have voted together next episode. Grett was smart

This way she's in the middle of both of those and will never be targeted unless at least 3 of them come together, which is very unlikely to happen. Its far more likely they will go after eachother instead. But I do think Riya was probably stronger than Alec at this point on their own, so it might have been a missed chance. Depends how the next challenges go.

Personally, I headcannon that Nina has a hatch in her back and a simple chewing mechanism set up in her mouth (similar to cabbage patch kids) which effectively allows her to eat/drink anything and get the food out theough the hatch, Also, when shes layed down or tilted her eyes begin to close to imitate sleep

I find it funny that the second half of the season was written by Connors VA every since the super hero episode the 3 episodes after have been the 3 worst in the season. Discussions about how AS would go were well underway when even I was still involved and have changed many times over, don't try to look at it as episode-by-episode. He doesn't even determine who goes home in the episodes, he just strings the main plots together. The dialogue has been pretty good, so I'd say he's doing well with the given material
As far as I’m aware, Michael only writes the character interactions for the show. He has no control over the order of eliminations or challenges. I thought besides this one these episodes have been the most entertaining of the season so far but to each their own. This episode did have its moments and developments though

Silly Billy ever since Yul’s elimination the next 3 eliminations have been from a 2 person friendship.
1. The duo between Gabby and Grett starts to return Gabby gets eliminated .
2. Aiden’s and Jake’s friendship grows stronger Aiden gets eliminated.
3. Alec’s and Connor’s friendship grows stronger Alec gets eliminated.
If this pattern repeats then either Jake or Connor might get eliminated next and that scares me.
The fact that Alec lost a puzzle challenge is contrived so he could be eliminated this episode. Idk why they gave Gret immunity when it didnt effect the vote anyways.
Just to mention, after the votes, Grett says she wanted to keep the temperament between those 4 (I mean Riya vs Connor and Ally vs Jake) so Grett can be the swing vote for those and it's more likely that she is making the final, it was smart to take out Alec imo

The puzzle quest is funny, but it's really a task where the Survivor contestants have trouble solving it under pressure even though they have fewer pieces than this one. I guess it's about the phenomenon that under pressure, stress and hurry, the brain's concentration is somewhere else than in solving puzzles, and it makes a task that would be easy under normal circumstances harder and more challenging.

I think Grett’s decision at the end is pretty smart. I would’ve rather had Riya be the first boot of the season myself, but in the context of being in the game, Alec is fairly put together by this point and his outward goal for the past few episodes was getting back on Connor’s good side. That combined with Grett’s scolding of him a couple episodes ago could easily lead to Connor and Alec teaming up to vote Grett out if Alec succeeds. Meanwhile, Connor and Riya are at odds as are Jake and Ally. Those two duos vastly dislike each other and would jump at the chance to get the other one out. Being in the final 5 in a position where you’re no one’s primary target is a dream position to be in and Grett accomplished that here.
Exactly Jake Connor and Alec would all vote for Grett in the next episode she made a smart decision

Getting Alec out was the smartest move for Grett. Now it's the two boys on one side and the two girls on the other and Grett in the middle, so she's in the power position. It was genius actually cause she knows the two duos will never work together. Keeping Alec and voting Riya would've kept the risk of the 3 boys getting together
Very much disagree. Riya and Ally are bonding whilst Alec and Ally are not. Getting Riya out means Ally is more likely to side with Grett. Now she will likely stick with Riya.

@@SillyBillyDucky I think the thing that Grett wanted was to keep the two "rivalries" in the game. Connor and Riya, and Jake and Ally. This way she's in the middle of both of those and will never be targeted unless at least 3 of them come together, which is very unlikely to happen. Its far more likely they will go after eachother instead. But I do think Riya was probably stronger than Alec at this point on their own, so it might have been a missed chance. Depends how the next challenges go.

Based on, the next episode title and how Oliver wants to fire interns that may or may not be back in jail, is Nina, if Kristal is busy looking for new hires, or Kristal if she is that desperate going to host another re-entry challenge between the 5 campers eliminated since the first re-entry?
Personally, I headcannon that Nina has a hatch in her back and a simple chewing mechanism set up in her mouth (similar to cabbage patch kids) which effectively allows her to eat/drink anything and get the food out theough the hatch, Also, when shes layed down or tilted her eyes begin to close to imitate sleep

it actually makes alot sense grett wanted alec out more then riya bc first of all now with alec being gone its now jake and ally beefing the entire time aswell as connor and riya while grett just chills there and watch also it makes more sense on a personal aspect bc when yul was still terrorizing grett riya atleast talked with grett saying how his behaviour is horrible and she should break up with him while alec did the bare minimum and also im pretty sure grett is still abit pissed on getting betrayed by him in the first season

grett also chose alec because If she went for riya, alec who is good friends with connor could have sided with him and it would have been grett, ally vs connor alec jake. But getting rid of alec eliminated the possibility of a boys alliance and opens room for a girls alliance. Seeing as Riya now has no allies she has to side with the girls. Also grett openly told alec she didn’t trust him and has no interest in working with him. So grett eliminating riya and expecting alec to still side with her would have been really dumb on her part
Grett wanting Alec gone makes sense. It’s clear Riya is slipping mentally with Conner around so she’s not in a clear head moment and Jake and Ally are at each others throats. Alec was the only sensible one left aside from her at this point. Best to let chaos sew itself from who’s left and reap the reward. That’s how I see it anyway

I find it funny that the second half of the season was written by Connors VA every since the super hero episode the 3 episodes after have been the 3 worst in the season. Sooo this means Connors VA (from the public eye) has wirtten 100% bad episodes. The boots have been bad Aiden, GABBY AND ALEC. Man if Riya wins Im quitting school and moving into the forest
@@Dodlettagain to defend Michael (Connor's VA) here: while he has written those episodes, it's not like he decided them all on his own. Discussions about how AS would go were well underway when even I was still involved and have changed many times over, don't try to look at it as episode-by-episode. He doesn't even determine who goes home in the episodes, he just strings the main plots together. The dialogue has been pretty good, so I'd say he's doing well with the given material

As far as I’m aware, Michael only writes the character interactions for the show. He has no control over the order of eliminations or challenges. I thought besides this one these episodes have been the most entertaining of the season so far but to each their own. This episode did have its moments and developments though
