- In this video I watch and react to Pentatonix's music video for Hallelujah. This is the first time I have ever seen or heard a Pentatonix song or video. I am still in shock!! I mean EVERYTHING WITH THEIR VOICES!!! So unique and wonderful!!! 5 Stars, would watch again :) Need to see more of them ASAP!!! You should check out Avi Kaplan "Change on the Rise", it is amazing (he was the bass here)
A lot of other reactors had to make brief pauses every little bit and add a little bit of comentary i believe to make it less likely to get hit. A wonderful one for Christmas time would be Mary did you know and Amazing Grace. They have some more but the "chest beater" aka Kevin is the beat boxer and you can see more of his skills with that on one like Daft Punk Medley. There are so many good ones that its kinda hard to just narrow it down lol

Many reactors will pause often, make some comments, backup 5sec, to get past copyright. We Pentaholics have seen the video 100's if not 1000's of time. so pausing, express you view, and back up 5 - 10 seconds, is perfectly fine.
And this is my favorite reaction style, 'cause they are mind-blowing and I like to hear/see/feel you under that thrall.

Based on this reactu n, I say you should dive in and go all the way back to their infant days in the a capella competition show, The Sing Off. Watching their progression from *just* formed to where they en duo and then what they accomplish after, it’s a JOURNEY.
Pentatonix is its own acapella genre
This group are the undisputed leaders in the A capella field, they have brought the genre to light thru years of You tube videos. They won a national singing contest with a cash prize and recording contract. The Label dropped them a week after saying they couldn’t see how A capella would ever make it in the music industry. Three Grammys later proved the label wrong. You might want to try their first Grammy winning tune, it’s a Daft Punk medly.

They've made a number of Christmas songs that you might like to hear. Mary Did You Know, The Carol of the Bells, and Little Drummer Boy to name three of my faves. They also did a remix of an Imagine Dragon song with the violinist, Lindsay Stirling that is incredible. Pentatonix may have 4 men and one woman, but the man with the hat, Mitch, has such a high, beautiful voice that he can sing the high parts meant for women, so the group is very balanced, vocally. Their bass singer and beat boxer are incredibly talented, too. Avi, the one who sings bass in this video is no longer with the group and their current bass is Matt. Kevin is the one beating on his chest and beat boxing.. He also plays the cello and sometimes sings. They're an incredible group.

Being Christmas time, I suggest their Grammy Award winning "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy", a composition written for an orchestra, no voices, and Pentatonix (PTX) does it with just their voices, no instruments. It is amazing what this group can do. They have a whole catalog of Christmas songs that will stun and amaze you.
Once we get past Christmas, they have so many good songs, some originals, but mostly covers, and you just pick any of them, you cannot go wrong with this group.
It's one of those voice bands. That made me smile.

Welcome to the new world of a capella. Pentatonix and Home Free have rewritten the book on a capella worldwide. All of the suggestions for more songs to listen to are great. Pentatonix has 3 Grammys, one for their "Daft Punk Medley" (Daft Punk), one for their "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" (Tchaikovsky), and one for basically being Dolly Parton's backup band(?) on "Jolene". Also, try "Imagine" (John Lennon), "Bohemian Rhapsody" (Queen), "Mad World" (Tears for Fears), "Sound of Silence" (Simon and Garfunkel), and of course, any of their Christmas music. For Home Free may I recommend their "Man of Constant Sorrow", "Ring of Fire" (Johnny Cash), and my favorite, "Helplessly Hoping" (Crosby, Stills & Nash) (and then a quarantined Italian Youth Choir's cover of Home Free's arrangement).

Being Christmas time I would recommend Little Drummer boy. It was the first video I saw and dragged me into the rabbit hole. I then watched all the Sing Off episodes to get to know them and now I still love watching them and all the reactors!! Great reaction 😊

I think other reactors add frequent stops and give commentary as they go to get around being blocked. It’s annoying but we’re used to it so it won’t drop your views...pentaholics will always show up 😁.

Seems like doing Pentatonix reacts seriously boosts numbers for the pages that do them. Its December, so Christmas reacts would be cool. "Mary Did You Know" and "Little Drummer Boy are amazing.

Fashionably late Pentaholic here. Great reaction! A couple of my favorite Christmas songs Pentatonix does is Silent Night, Little Drummer Boy, and The first Noel. Fav's that aren't christmasy and I'd love to see you react to are Run to you (an original), Gold (Kiiara cover), Bohemian Rhapsody (Queen cover), and Imagine (John Lennon cover).

Pleaaaase do Amazing Grace next, it's the last video they've done acapella. It's so greaat, the Bass changed (the guy with the beard) a few years ago. He left because of some family problems (He is still doing music from his home) and Matt (new bass) came in.
