This beautiful rendition was done in a cathedral in Germany while they were in tour in Europe. Avi arranged it and it's sooo gorgeous. No mikes, no production...just great acoustics and lovely voices.
I'm curious where you heard that Avi arranged this. I don't doubt you, it's just that their music rarely mentions who arranged it, probably since there's a legality that all members get credit. Personally, I think it definitely has Avi's touch, and it would have been easy for him, considering his minor in college was composition and arranging. My understanding, for example, is that he brought "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy" to Ben Bram and the group, and that he and Ben did the arrangement (although all of them got the Grammy for it).
@@charlottevan_8, I was told a few days ago when it was put on by another reactor. I had mentioned some things I knew (that it was done in a German cathedral while on tour in Europe) and someone piped up and said Avi arranged it...although I do agree that likely Ben and he worked on it together. It def does have Avi's touch in the quite classical arrangement of it and Avi's "lead" in the last four stanzas.
@@Gwennedd I think you're right about Ben and Avi co-arranging more than we know about. Avi has also worked with Rob Dietz (the third "ACA Dad", co-founders of the A Cappella Academy). Rob co-arranged Avi's song "The Seed" for the full 2019 class choir, and it was amazing.
Nothing beats Old World churches for acoustics.
