Lot of really cool looking content. I'd love it if one of these studios would approach Konami and do a worthy Castlevania game! That would be so cool. Have the great music and ambiance of Super Castlevania, while perhaps updating some of the aspects of past games that made them great, for this era. Keep the soul of what makes Castlevania one of the greatest franchises ever, while giving it a bit of updating.

Dragon is Dead looks like Death's Gambit and The last Faith had a baby. But having "rogue--______" in the genre description kills most of my interest instantly, I don't have the time to keep trying RNG-driven games like this.
The demo for Ventures of the Vile didn't really vibe with me.
Nine Sols is an instabuy. Especially if you enjoyed Sekiro's combat.

Man all these are PC exclusive I'm missing out haven't made the jump from consoles to pC my Elder & Youngest have been pushing for me to crossover especially with the free online nevertheless I'm on PS5 & SWITCH ,nevertheless the game "VISAGENS" reminds me of the Arcade Classic by Namco "ROLLING THUNDER" on Steroids....

@@lillpoetboy Not really bad, but unfortunately not good enough for me personally. An interesting mechanic with transformations, but it is poorly implemented. Acquiring new abilities is done in a boring way. The locations are monotonous,The level design is also monotonous, square and rectangular literally in visual terms.
Moon Samaurai seems more like classic Prince of Persia to me, looks cool though.

My BIG problem with the Blasphemous clones is, there´s no creative thing they make it on their own. Sprite style the same, animation the same, cutscenes the same jada jada jada. i have nothing straight against clones from games is there´s is in a good own style. But these look like fckg copy ripped from blasphemous for real if u know what i mean.

It really is an amazing time to be a metroidvania gamer. With so many up coming games and ones that have been released. I'd say this is the golden age
It definitely is. I just really need to get a pc.
I love clean fluid HD hand drawn sprites and animation I just wish they would make the sprites larger and more detailed something akin to the guilty gear or dragon Ball fighterz but in an RPG or metroidvania style.

Ultraviolence super gory fantastic story beautifully executed.
Take the art form to another level.
When they back up so far and make the characters so tiny it takes away from the experience in my opinion.
Would love to see it applied to a new Chrono trigger type RPG too.

For me, all of these games feel like different parts of the same game. There's some cool things here, but since I've already enjoyed Castlevania: SOTN, I don't feel like these are unique enough for me to get invested it. But I can see these other games are great for people who have never experienced SOTN. Or people who have but they enjoy the clones.
as someone who has played SOTN, Nine sols was a much superior experience.

All these Metrooidvania's, i've yet to see a character as cool as Simon Belmont or Samus. Any recommendations on what's out now that are the best games ans close to Metroid or Castlevania?
they're called MetroidVania's, but i'm seeing a lot more Vania than Metroid
same with rpg (role playing games) which nowadays people relate them with powering level and looting, it is what it is

The Metroid comes from the map really. They always use the more dark midevilish games graphics.

Dud you really need to move that overlay text (game title, release date, platforms) UP, because it clashes with the timeline segments; when you want to mouse-over a segment and see the game's name, the text appears in white and clashes with the text in your footage. Change your font (make it smaller) and move the whole thing up like a good 100pixels (measuring on a un-fullscreened youtube video in 2560x1440p. Keep it in the bottom-left corner, just please make not so annoyingly obtrusive. As someone who's just stumbled upon your channel for the first time, I've found this very off-putting, so take it as just feedback from a newcomer.
