Feb 15,2013 - A "small" meteorite streaked through the skies above Russia's Urals region. The blast, equivalent to 300,000 tons of TNT, shattered windows, damaged more than 3,000 building and injured over 1,000 people.
8 months after the incident, the meteorite, weighing in at 570 kg, was pulled out of Lake Chebarkul, making it one of the biggest meteorites ever recovered.

4:07 the amount of explosions makes it sound like gunfire damn
Tunguska 1908 was like for one minute…! Yeah pretty Wild that one…

Thanks to the Russian people for so much footage of this crazy event.
You're welcome. Here in Russia, what is not happening!
@@vss3683 I like how the men in the videos did their best to shield the women in the office and home videos, after the first explosion.
every car has a dash cam for insurance/legal purposes I think
Yes it was so scary

The power of these little meteors is crazy
It was actually 20m wide, so not so small
Quite remarkable that something the size of a 7 story building explodes over a city as it enters the atmosphere.
Russians: um..weird..?
Americans: OOO MY GAAAWWWDDDD, IM DYYYYIIINNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
meteor:am i a joke to you
Lol
Croats: Wow cool a star falling let's make a wish :D
LMAO TRUE

Why they acting like this is a normal thing
+E. I would imagine that some of them were just in shock. We only get a meteor strike like that once every couple of hundred years. Some people freak, others just stand and stare. Depends on the person.
Dude what ate they supposed to do? Like whatever they do it doesn't matter. They actually have the best reaction possible. Keep being calm :-)
in russia, we hit the meteorite
Because they are russian, they don't care about anything. :P jokes jokes. They are just so used to random shit i guess.

What terrifies me is how 10 whole years has passed since. Feels like 2 at most.
Love how some clips are taken in what seems to be night time, and others are middle of the day
Yeah, that shows high high it exploded! So far up it can be seen and heard by people in other timezones!
I can’t imagine how loud that must have been
454 Big Block 🤣
Like from earthquake
It was silent. For about 90 seconds, till the shockwave hit. I think it has something to do with the speed of light being faster than the speed of sound.
@@diamond-heart21 a meteor can't travel at the speed of light.
@@fernie6299 Guess he meant the light that was created by the meteor, not the meteor itself.

people are so calm like they could have imagined it as a nuclear attack but they are so relax..
Damn I remember hearing about this in 6th grade elementary school, where did the time go lol
I still watch this sometimes over the years, still so amazing to see. Still gives me goosebumps lol
Комета галея можеть мы её ещё увидим.
