    Dude, it took me ages to figure out which spot this was. Finally got it. It's actually near another spot that I've been wanting to try, but it's not near where I usually fish on the Mullica river. Gonna try it tomorrow now that the fishing out front is slowing down.

    Maryland Fishing Regulations allow only 2 hooks per line. Rigs work great summertime on hard bottom in 22-16 foot depth. Spot and croaker love them to.

    you are so lucky to have this species where you live, where you at ? excellent tasting fish, i caught one once at my catfish hole at night in the summer and it was unusual ,i had no idea what kind of fish it was till i looked it up, i wish i can target them or know where they are ,it must have been a lucky strike, do they get any bigger than what you catching there? nice action

    • @609Fishing
      @609Fishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes they do get bigger, but those jumbos seem to hold in deeper holes that time of year.

    Joe, I bought some Sabiki rigs earlier this year for perch. It seems to me the hook sizes (numbers) are not in line with other conventional hook sizes/numbers. And, the smaller number hooks were not larger - they were smaller! That is, a size 4 hook was SMALLER than a size 8. I don't know if they were not packaged correctly or that's how they come. Thoughts? PS, great video as always.

    • @609Fishing
      @609Fishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah I find the sizing for Sabiki Rigs is definitely different. Honestly it varies from company to company, the ones I was using are made by fin strike and they go by normal hook sizes but some of the other ones go by weird sizing that I’m not honestly sure about. Thank you for watching 👍

    Where's your "lucky rig?" Do you use worms in the fall and grass shrimp in the winter? Enjoy your videos.

    • @609Fishing
      @609Fishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      So that’s an interesting question you sent. Personally I use grass shrimp year round, shedder crabs in the summer, blood worms in the spring, soft plastics in the fall, and Minnows in the winter. I honestly just used up the Bloodworms that were in my fridge from surf fishing for this video. I saved my lucky rig for another day, I do like using the Sabiki rig especially in the winter time when the bite could be a little bit tougher.
