I bookmarked this video in case I got custodial, and now I'm rewatching it because I was assigned custodial in Hollywood Studios! My DCP starts in October and I couldn't be more excited. Custodial was one of my top 3 roles!!

summer 2017 i was in Disney California and two custodial members had choreographed a dance which was fantastic. they came in on a truck i assume they were using for the full garbage bags and whipped out a speaker. its fun to see how people find ways to make a little magic

As a Hollywood Studio's custodial CM..I gotta say..code v's are a part of your life on the daily. There is no escaping it there, so your mileage may vary depending on your location.

Love your videos! I was accepted for fall 2017 custodial (aaaaahhhhh!!!!). I am super excited as I was one of my top roles, but I'm also nervous about standing for 8 straight hours. I have feet issues, and they can hurt sometimes. Is it really as bad as people say, as in standing the entire time? Thanks!
It's not too bad..I loved the shoes they gave us...my feet never hurt! If you are on streets then you will be more on your feet than if you were in restrooms. Cause you can hide in the supply closets sometimes 😂
When you sign up for the DCP, do you get to pick if you work in a park or resort? I'd love to work in a resort so I don't spend all day in the parks and ruin the magic :)
Unfortunately you don't get to pick where you want to work, but when you are on the phone interview you can let the recruiter know your preference. (but it doesn't guarantee anything!) I was also afraid of the same thing, but as for me, I feel that working in the park actually increased the magic. Because I was able to help bring magic to guest inside the parks and I was able to enjoy fireworks every single night! So either way..it's pretty great!
Hi! I'm hoping to be doing dcp custodial sometime in the future and I was wondering about requesting days off, would I be able to get a weekend off (like end of September) and how would I go about doing that??? Is it difficult and unlikely??
It's super easy! As soon as you get access to the hub, just log in and under work, there is an option to request days off. Then you can go in and request what you need off and you will either be approved or waitlisted right away. It will even tell you what place you are on the waitlist! (usually if you are spot 2-3 you have a good chance of getting it off as well!)
Esmeralda Galan like I said, I never had any problems with the all white costumes! I always just kept some tampons in my work bag and an extra costume in my locker in case I needed a costume change & costuming was closed.

I'm sure you can! You might want to opt for like a skin color or white color because the pants are white.

If you get put in one of the resorts can you transfer to the parks? If you extend do you have to stay in the same place, ie resorts?
I don't think you can transfer..but you can pick up shifts at the parks!

How harsh is this job on your feet? I have a foot condition that means my feet get sorer quicker than usual. Would you suggest I try a different role?

for whatever reason my feet never bothered me. Which is crazy bc I averaged about 8 miles a day on the job!
