Remember this when the right time comes, this is important; he pulled the sword that absorbs magic and not the sword that cuts through magic, this was done on purpose because he will use this magic at some point to pull a Triumph Card. Also you can tell Wizard's King attitude change that is the Devil that resides in him as he wants to be King of All realms(Devil Realm) , not just Wizard King(Human World) Asta has magic drain power passed down from his mother Licita. Julius also helped shape Asta, similar to what Aizen did to Ichigo. Asta is destined to become the King of All Devils and Yuno the Wizard King. They will bring unity to all worlds and peace to both.

And if the magic requires contact to store time, then Asta took time from everything he beat with that sword, even if only a little. Actually, it probably wouldn't be usable, as it probably only absorbed Julius' mana, and not the stored time. Casting time magic requires both magic and stored time.

Yeah funny thing is Julius in theory should of foreseen this incident and prevented it however anti magic probably erased this absorption from his foresight. Love little details like this

From what we see, stockpiling time works 1 of several ways. He can take time from things and people. He can also wait. And if the magic requires contact to store time, then Asta took time from everything he beat with that sword, even if only a little.
There's a lot of ways the time stockpile seems to work, but who knows how Asta will even be able to use it

Actually, it probably wouldn't be usable, as it probably only absorbed Julius' mana, and not the stored time. Casting time magic requires both magic and stored time.

The actual reason Julius knows those things is that he was watching Asta and Yuno while in disguise; he saw them in action before deciding to send them on the mission to explore the dungeon.
