- Earlier this month, I received a personal email from Dark Souls creator Hidetaka Miyazaki:
"Dear JK,
Watched your recent videos, they were pretty good...lol not really, they stank!
The rap sections especially were super mega cringe. You think you're so good at rhyming? Well I bet you couldn't do a whole video where the entire script rhymes in a poetic format. Only then would I maybe respect you (probably not though, lol git gud!)

Not one to shy away from a challenge, I attempted to beat Dark Souls 3 with only pyromancy and then create a video about it with an entirely rhyming poem-like script. I call it....PYR-OEMANCY! 🔥📖🔥📖🔥📖🔥📖

Now I’ll end this poem, I’ll cease with my rhyme
Nevertheless, this run was sublime

I joined poem club;
My peers were amazed
Master of iambs,

So I quite respect

Did a pyro run a long time ago, the chaos bed vestiges work like a pro.
Holy, how long did this script take!? Those rhymes were amazing but I can't imagine how much time it took to come up with ALL of that. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised in the slightest if the script took longer than the run, that was incredible!
I would have written this in a poem to fit in, but I don't really have the time to stop and do it now, I'm watching the video while doing other stuff. And as I've said, I know how long this takes, I've tried writing stuff in poems before, I don't have the dedication and energy right now to do that.
Trust me, the script took an absolutely insane amount of time to write 😂

I would like to thank you! I've finally become the boss of Ds3 myself. Getting DSA in 7 hits hitless is something I would have never thought possible. Though the poison mist battle against the old demon king hurt my soul, well worth it
This is, for sure, the canonized Epic of our time
The poem makes it seem like a story you'd read to a child before bed. The tone of voice makes me think of Christmas stuffs, like Dr Suess's Grinch. Major props for sticking to the rhymes!

Should try some of the others, love the magic in this game, and the pyromancy is such a treat. Also, DS2 pyro and sorcery may be fun
This entire video is pure brilliance.
Pyromancy is strong, against quite a few foes. Those some did resist, we soon heard their woes. Pyromancy comes in red, back, and rocks. Aldrich ate my waifu, so I put his Ashes in a box.
Yhorm had too much health, causing much dread. Till Onion bro helped, and we chopped off his head.
In the DLC, I grabbed a pyromancer’s parting flame. However, Sister Friede was a pain and I quit the game.
I return to fight Lothric, but dragon slayers armor was acting like a prick. Soon they all burned, and soon it’d be my turn.
Soul of cinder was guarding the first flame. Upon his defeat, I sought the king without a name.
Later on, I return to the Painted World. I wanted to give Friede another whirl. Though the battle was tough, I had won. Onto the Ringed City, where I was almost done.
The twin demons caused some trouble, I thought it was a wrap. Until I got some help from my friends Gael and Lapp.
The city was deadly, tough foes all around. Midir worst of all, as I fought him underground.
The church was next, for a PvP boss fight. However, the other play let me win, before I went to bed for the night.
Gael was last, a tough fight I foresaw. To my surprise, not an estus was drank during the whole brawl.
The power of fire, had burned all away those nights. Merry Dark Souls to all, who git gud and fights.
Amazing. Do a poet collab with vaatividya. Would love your writing with his voice and it would probably give you some well deserved subscriptions.

Although I appreciate JK trying his own thing, I'm pretty happy he found a better niche than the rhymes. They get a bit distracting. Plus the dad jokes sort of feel on point for his tone of voice.

@@JKLeeds I can tell, the rhymes were so smooth though. I can’t even beat DS3 without some help and you were coming up with rhymes to match each sequence and only used pyromancy while creating a whole Dr Seuss book!😂

Yeah I think even if I could plunge with the glove, I'd still have tried to do it without. But never again! That was genuinely the boss that killed me most here and was pretty frustrating
