I guarantee more than half of the participants racing at LS Fest do not have a professional license. On top of that, since they were looking for something wrong on your part, it sounds like someone rigged the event against you, especially since they didn’t check you and Leroy thoroughly BEFORE you ran your practice/qualifying passes.

They were between towns were no one was and the limit was 65 or 70. I know one of them lost their license for 1 year and their insurance went up by 2X. I don't remember the fine, it was a lot. Over $1000 from what I remember. Kyle was in a residential area with a 45MPH limit. No matter how great a driver he is, someone could have died.

Profab built the cage to go 8.50s it would of passed 8.5 nhra certified now the car needs to be certified to 7.50 big difference in the 2 with amount of bars and what not also pretty sure there's a MPH cutoff where once you hit a certain MPH you need your license NHRA and the track owners do not want uncertified drivers dying and raising there insurance
@@jdias51 correct you need an NHRA competition license to run quicker than 10.00 1/4 mile and 6.40 1/8 th mile or faster than 135 MPH again 1/4 mile or 1/8 th mile.some Super Street cars run stutter boxes and run on a 10.90 index but they run between 140-150 MPH so they need a NHRA license

Leroy is plenty safe to run, the hoop plus the solid firewall it’s not worth his time to go to Vegas when they clearly don’t want him to run he was by far the fastest stick car out there this weekend, truly the 240 he ran against last race is really the only competition Leroy has at most competitions, plus if he was able to turn Leroy all the way up and have him hook up he’s probably getting to a low 7 pass

so LVMS is requiring an NHRA drivers License at a NON-NHRA sanctioned event?? It was my understanding that licensing requirements were set by the racing governing body.. in this case.. LS fest.. not NHRA.. not the track.. as far as the car having the proper safety equipment for the ET.. ok, I've run into that before at most strips.. and to run at sanctioned events the chassis has to be certified at some levels.. but a Drivers License at a non-sanctioned event, don't think I've run into that before.. and LVMS has nothing on their website about competitor requirements.. it's all for spectators.. someone who knows please clarify this for me..

I was running sub-9.99 cars without a license for years.. and our track is an NHRA track... only at NHRA events we're licenses even discussed.. eventually I did obtain my license so I could enter the sanctioned events.. but there were plenty of non-sancioned events.. I doubt the NHRA has jurisdiction over tracks, even tracks where sanctioned events are sometimes held, when non-sancioned events are occurring... on the other hand... it's possible some tracks just uniformly require the credentials... but I doubt it's required... I could be wrong.. I'll be checking into it. I'd like to know the actual rules... what's required vs what's elective.... thanks for your input.

If you guys end up not being able to simply reboot that com Box or if there's something else wrong with the lightbar,... you can ship it back and I can repair it or get it repaired,... I don't know how long it'll be but that's an option. I never had a problem with it before I removed and sent it and it appeared to work fine after you guys installed it so I got a feeling it's going to be some really silly simple...... I'm almost a 100% sure it's simply a lost ground and one of those rigid wires or the com-cable so I'm 99% sure you guys will figure it out... Those light bars and electronics are pretty robust. (It was nice to meet you guys out there but a bummer that the track officials (not Holly or anyone that was promoting for it) Had a stick up their rear about you winning in the stick shift class..... P.S. Maybe I'll send you a piece of the dashboard from 'the Party Car' to get signed since you didn't have time to do that at your booth....🇺🇸

Kowalskithegreat Vegas follows NHRA rules. I ran 9.4 right before these guys. Got asked for my license. I showed it and ran all weekend. They are applied to everyone.
You addressed that very well....its surprising no one has asked you for a drivers/car number during tech before however. I have to produce it at every track I go to here in the northeast.

If a person has an NHRA license and goes to an NHRA track, the officials can easily look up the status of his license at will. He would not even know about it if this is done. Technology!
Friday was a blast! Went through tech without an issue, made as many passes as wanted. I was doing burn out box duty assisting the only ONE TRACK guy there for a good couple of hours that day. He was super cool and obviously needed the extra hand. I didn't mind assisting at all either. I look at it like I was doing duty for my racing brothers and sisters. When Saturday come, things sure changed. Still, none the less, I had a blast all weekend.

@@halofreak1990 Yeah including some they didn't even really need like the new front subframe. I mean you need aftermarket parts to build a race car... But keep with budget stuff most people buy, not exotic parts almost no one can afford. Like billet intakes, Tubular subframes etc.

@@lildad559 exactly my point. If having a racing license is a requirement of theirs, not a single driver should be eligible to register to race without it. For the same reason you can't enter any sanctioned race series without being registered in said series. Hell I learned that as an 11 year old when I started racing BMX, let alone being an event organizer for an NHRA certified race track.

@@nordic5490 its not the fuel system thsts making it slower. He addresses why, the converter is far too tight for that size turbo. The fuel setup isn't a real good design, it has no surge tank, holley mat or anything.

That is a reason why a few drivers do not have a licence to drive on the street and just copilot... some know that they can not watch there speed.

If a person has an NHRA license and goes to an NHRA track, the officials can easily look up the status of his license at will. He would not even know about it if this is done. Technology!

Friday was a blast! Went through tech without an issue, made as many passes as wanted. I was doing burn out box duty assisting the only ONE TRACK guy there for a good couple of hours that day. He was super cool and obviously needed the extra hand. I didn't mind assisting at all either. I look at it like I was doing duty for my racing brothers and sisters. When Saturday come, things sure changed. Still, none the less, I had a blast all weekend.

@@lildad559 exactly my point. If having a racing license is a requirement of theirs, not a single driver should be eligible to register to race without it. For the same reason you can't enter any sanctioned race series without being registered in said series. Hell I learned that as an 11 year old when I started racing BMX, let alone being an event organizer for an NHRA certified race track.

@@nordic5490 its not the fuel system thsts making it slower. He addresses why, the converter is far too tight for that size turbo. The fuel setup isn't a real good design, it has no surge tank, holley mat or anything.
It needs a looser converter. That's it
