I hope you enjoyed this video - let me know what else you’d like to see in the comments below!
I've realized I forgot the toilet... Oops!
i didn't even notice XD
Truth or consequences was also on doctor who.
We all do sometimes! I forgot one yesterday too 🤣
Yeah, I've done that before. No worries.
No worries it gave us a chuckle lol
As someone who's not American, I really enjoy this series. I like seeing the different styles of the state's and hearing your facts.
Plus the comments are really great
I’m so excited to hear that. I wonder how non-Americans think about this series. I think that people who aren’t from the US don’t quite understand that all these “states “are more like mini nations. Like each state has its own vibe and culture. So it’s cool to see the people find this is interesting
As someone who lives in Albuquerque I can say that this is very cute! Albuquerque with the last census has a population of 942,000 but yes we still have dirt roads here in the city😂 Balloon Fiesta is beautiful but the influx of vehicles that comes with it is awful.
Yesssss hello roomie 😂
Is it true there is natural lithium in the water from the hot springs
@@prtybrneyez18 heeeeeey!
I’m in Clovis and this is not what NM looks for us. 😂 Just dirt and wind down here!
And very, very flat.
Wait... Did I miss something? Is there a toilet in this house? Theres one bathroom with a shower, tub, sink and laundry... But no toilet. Mistakes happen, it's no big deal... But it's still funny! 😂
😅😂 oops!
I thought I was crazy or missed a new style of toilet in the game 😂
I am very excited! As someone from Santa Fe, this looks right! This home reminds me of my parents’ and grandparents’ houses!
Aww yay! I am so glad to hear this!
I hope Tonya notices our comments about the missing toilet so we can all giggle about it together 😅😂❤️ super cute build.
I saw a comment asking for a northern CA and a southern CA home and as a CA native I concur since the styles can be so different ☠️
For Northern California, I once visited someone who lived in a split level house, and the bedrooms had big windows that felt like you were in the redwood trees. It was ✨magical✨.
You walked into the house in a small foyer and could go up the stairs on the right to the bedrooms/bathrooms or down a step on the left to the living space. If you went straight would go to the kitchen and mud room. Under the bedrooms was a converted office space and garage. I would definitely give a nod to hippie culture when you do CA if you can.
California would be a cool state to do! All those wonderful bungalows would be fun to see recreated! It's such a diverse and hugely important state too with tons of cool places and history
Cali has so many types of homes. I think though, that you are right. A seaside bungalow (Carmel or Monterey) would be what I see as Cali. The only other style is the Historical "Painted Ladies" in San Fran. But they are not Cali to me, more San Fran.
as a new mexican I LOVE this build its so nostalgic for all the homes i’ve grown up seeing and the floor plan is really realistic too
Represent NM residents! 💕 It really does look like all the traditional homes around my home town. And Truth or Consequences is wonderful
hello from minnesota, a minnesota vacation cabin on a lake would be a cool build. and it would be very realistic since many families here also own a cabin property! Duluth, MN would be a great place to get inspo since it is on lake superior and is one of the most popular spots
Omg yes! As a fellow Minnesotan, I totally agree! Lake houses are so incredibly beautiful and they suuuuper common here!
Yes!! A Lake Superior cabin home would be so beautiful in Granite Falls!!
Hey, I live in Duluth!!! A Duluth inspo house would be AWESOME!
I’d love to see Washington State! The evergreen state would be perfect in granite falls
Can you live in granite falls?
Gosh I could ramble on and on about my home state! Thank you for doing New Mexico! We love getting the attention XD
aww of course!
Idea for next state inspired speed build: how about Alaska, maybe at the snowy area of Mt Komorebi 😍
Oregon! Especially the Alphabet houses from like Richmond!
This seems like a fun build to play in.
love love love this southwestern home!!! i'm wishing for washington to be the next state in the series🙏
I’d love to see you do Oklahoma! I could even send you pictures of my house that is 100 years old in a small town about 20 minutes south of Tulsa!
My sister and her husband eloped in New Mexico last august! My best friend and I did a road trip to be there so I could photograph it! It was so beautiful and this build looks similar to the Airbnb we stayed in!
Denver CO bungalow! Or a cute prairie farmhouse from CO. Everyone does like mountain house themes from CO, but I think it would be fun to see something else to represent Colorado.
i don't live in new mexico but i was born there and a lot of my family still lives in the various cities in that state! i really liked this video i love to see other people appreciating the place i came from and where i associate a lot of my hispanic heritage to! it's nice to see my home state get the recognition it deserves and a big plus for not forgetting to mention the indigenous nations who live in the area! amazing work!
You could also do New Jersey with its Cape Cods. I live in New Jersey and my childhood home was what our realtor referred to as an expanded cape cod because it was slightly larger than the average cape. They can be found everywhere and were really popular in the 40s and 50s for first-time home buyers because they were cheap and quick to build. NJ is littered with them so it would be reflective of the style that the state is known for
Loved this!! I would love to see a Georgia home build- primarily in Savannah or old southern farm style homes. Would also love to see Alaska, Texas or North Carolina!
Omg you are so talented!!!
This video warms my heart. I'm from New Mexico but am going to college somewhere else. I love that you talked about some of my favorite things about my home.
May be a year late, but you did New Mexico justice with this build. Your pronunciations btw, were very close for a non local. Thank you so much for this build!! I've added this to all of my save files as a tribute to my home state!! You did a beautiful job on this house.
Mississippi & Louisiana!! Love all of your builds!!
I’d love to see you do Texas ! There’s so many big old beautiful homes (especially in my home town!) In my old historical neighborhood there were so many quirky houses, Victorian style, one that looks like a boat! My house was 120 years old and it wasn’t the most structurally sound building, but it was beautiful ! Ofc there are so many styles of homes here, I’d love to see your take on a Texas home :D
North Carolina!! It’ll be cool to see what you come up with!!
I live in Las Cruces, and you got this 100% correct, as many of the houses are built like this. Of course in other cities in NM as well, but this is spot on from where I’m from. You even got the plants and outdoor layout exact, it’s so crazy haha.
This is perfect! I am from New Mexico and enjoyed the feeling of nostalgia about my home state. It’s also home of the best green Chile in the world! Hatch NM! We also but Chile on EVERYTHING, including our ice cream 😂
I’d love to see Oregon! Lots of fir trees and brindleton bay has Oregon coast vibes!
Really? It's based off New England seafront towns. And as a Eew Englander I can tell you that if indeed has New England vibes.
@@CrownedLily Yes I do know, but does that mean it can’t look like an other place too? I said it has the vibes. One thing would be the weather where it is slightly cloudy/rainy and then perfect clear sunny days! The fences, boarded walkway, beach access, all reminds me of the Oregon coast. I get if people think of Oregon they would think a cabin in like the camping pack, but when I think of the most beautiful part of Oregon is the coast and the really interesting houses you see on the coast. And I’d like to see something that is a little bit different representing the state
this is such a small detail, but the sun on the wall in the living room!! My grandparents live in Albuquerque and they've had one almost exactly like that on their living room wall for most of my life. This build is excellent
I agree with others requesting CA. Everyone always makes LA and Malibu style homes, but I grew up in a small farm town in Northern CA. I now live about an hour from the border and the style of home is fairly different. I'd love to see a home representing a part of CA that is not often represented. Tartosa and Selvadorada would be the ideal worlds.
I love Last Minute Trips!!! Also this house is super cute, as always ❣️
Hooray! Another one for the state series! I love this one.
Get smitten for the mitten state, soon!! In Detroit, during the prohibition, we had speakeasies & underground tunnels in the basements along the Detroit River bordering Canada to smuggle alcohol into the United States. You can still find hidden doors in some of the old Detroit, River Rouge, Wyandotte homes (born & raised in South Detroit 🤘🏻) lol you’re the best, Gryphi! It kind of amazes me, some of the Native American themes in this build reminds me of some of the styles you’d see in an up-northy cabin here :) I’m also getting Bailey Sarian vibes here too, a little history with our entertainment, please & thank you! 🥺
I don't think you can really talk about New Mexico without mentioning the wonderful Mexican cuisine ... it's sooooo delicious. Also, in Albequerque, they have something called The Fiery Food Festival where you can sample and buy some of the most amazing spices. Some of them even have a disclaimer you have to sign before you are even allowed to sample them. Food is a very important part of New Mexico's culture.
Thank you for this awesome built and interesting facts. I’m originally from NY but moved to Albuquerque for work a couple years ago. You should come during the balloon fiesta in October. It’s one of the biggest hot air balloon festivals of the world.
This was recommended to me a few days ago and that's how I discovered your other state builds. I am absolutely in love with them! They give me major nostalgia and remind me of when my parents still lived in my childhood home because all of them look so real and so homely! I can't wait for more. I also love the facts about the states, I'm from Europe (Germany/England) so I don't really know a lot about the USA. Also, it would be really cool to see you do the countries of Europe for whenever you finish the states. It would be cool to see your take on them, I love your building style!! ♥
Would love to see Indiana! There is a lot of tri level '60s home where I live. It would be so cute. Go Hoosiers!
This was the exact vibe I wanted for oasis springs but couldn't find any houses like this that worked in the gallery
Im from South Carolina!! We have lots of houses common throughout the south like the big colonial ones and small ranch styles etc but I'd say one that's pretty unique-ish to us are the Charleston Single houses. You'd probably find them really interesting to build!! They have an almost false facade with a front door that actually leads to an double open porch on the side that'll take you to the actual entrance to the house. I've always found them funky and cool, I'd love to see you do one when you get to our state!!
Love this house! I went to the hot air balloon festival a few years ago. Definitely worth the trip.
You should do Oklahoma! One of the cool things about this state is that there is a lot of art deco buildings in one of its biggest cities- Tulsa. Tulsa, unlike OKC, isn't super industrial, and downtown has some of the most beautiful buildings. But there are also a fair number of farmhouse victorians. For example, a friend of mine had a pink gingerbread victorian house in rural Oklahoma from the turn of the century.
i love this style, now I remember why Jungle adventure was one of first packs witch I bought, it fits perfectly in here!
Stunning house, and relaxed vibes! It was also nice to hear those facts, because I'm from Europe and I did'n know almost anything about the state before!
A more stately Georgia home would be cool to see! Or maybe a PNW tiny home or cabin? It could be a vacation home in Granite Falls ☺️
Thank you for the history along with your builds! Cool idea! I love your videos!
Maryland would be really cool. There’s pretty much revival architecture from every major movement (colonial, Georgian, gothic, ect.) but also the area where i live was originally a bunch of cottages and summer homes for rich people to summer in so that would be cool to see too.
or like baltimore rowhouses !!
This is a very pretty build! I love this style so much. I'm from New England as well, and I'd love to see a New Hampshire or Rhode Island build! ❤
you know how to make literally any object/floor/wall pattern/roof/window/lot/etc look amazing in the sims! (no offense to any of EA's items/stuff! 😇)
In santa fe New Mexico they have special water laws that affect water usage, since they share water with states down river. Or something I took a class there about water conservation and it was super cool. I also learned about acequias which is a traditional way they store water and how they have had to adapt it to fit climate change.
Water Conservation Day would actually make sense if your sims lived here! 🙂
I’d love to see Massachusetts! Maybe a traditional Colonial? Or a California Craftsman - that’d be great!
This house is frickin cool! 🤍
I can't wait till you get to Illinois cause I grew up in the city (chicago) but that's like an entirely different state in comparison to the rest of illinois lol it be really fun to see what you do for it. The brownstone houses are super iconic but also all over the state we have really old houses with stained glass and frigging bell towers. I also loved the Wisconsin build too. I got up there a lot and it's was super accurate
I'm really inspired by how you built this! I absolutely love building in this style and I find your approach very... refreshing? The layout feels very different than anything I'd come up with!
I'd love to see Massachusetts. As that's my state.
I LOVED Breaking Bad!! One of the best shows EVER!!
I heard of Truth or Consequences from Ture Crime about David Parker Ray.
Would love to see your take on Tennessee or Washington!
There are a lot of really distinct architectural styles in Chicago, and a Painted Lady for Sanfransico would be cool. Or a houseboat for Seatle. And I know those are all cities, but I figure you can extrapolate.
this was beautiful! i would love to see California next!!
I know California and Washington will probably go first, but if you could do Oregon, I’d really love it! You could do a Portland colonial-style home, or maybe a ranch more reminiscent of rural Oregon. You could also try an apartment of sorts.
Was just gonna rewatch an old video of yours! Perfect timing!
❤❤
@@Gryphi oh my gosh hi!
Love this series and I’m so looking forward to when you do Oklahoma
Oooo can you do Georgia? Specifically would love a Savannah, GA build because I think you'd have fun with the styles there and the Spanish Moss is GORGEOUS!!!
Do Illinois pleaseeeee! I love your videos and you’re my all time favorite TH-camr!❤️
This was such an informative video and fun build, so beautiful. Can’t wait for the next instalment in the series. Love from the UK 🇬🇧
I know Atlanta is obvious for Georgia, but I think Dahlonega is good for landscaping, Athens is a great college town, Columbus has some really beautiful brickwork, and Savannah is...well, Savannah! I think it'll depend on what style you're in the mood for but there's a lot of fun facts about a lot of cities around Georgia!
unless you're in the mood for a farmhouse, then you can throw a dart at a map and probably find a farming town lol
Another great build 🥰 would love to see Washington state ❤️
When you do California you should do North and south Cali in some places there so different!
@e yess! Exactly I actually live close by the redwoods!!
@e yeah it's very pretty!
I would love to see your take on the old Florida style homes a la Key West conch style homes / bungalows or Sarasota's Spanish Colonial Revival.
Love NM and this build!!!!
Would love to see a Utah build as I'm playing with a family based off characters from a story I'm writing, and in the story they reside in Hurricane, Utah!
I think the largest hot air balloon festival in the US is actually in congress in Washington DC. Nevada has a junk ton of unpaved roads also. No sidewalks in many places either, mostly gravel driveways unless you are in LasVegas or Reno.
It's so pretty.
You should do Indiana! I have no idea what you would build lol but I’ve lived here my whole life and would love to see you take on my home state!
I’m from Chambersburg PA and I’ve only been to Pittsburgh once or twice and I feel this is pretty accurate but I’d like to see more videos from in my area, it’s not that popular but it’s my home
South Dakota would be cool, but we have pretty generic houses. Expect, if you look at some of the cabins and stuff in the Black Hills. If you do South Dakota, I’d totally say that you should go for the Black Hills.
I would love to see you do Nebraska. I live in Omaha and we have so many different styles of homes.
I’ve heard you state in a video that you’re from New England, and as a fellow New Englander I would love a Newport Mansion build like those in Newport, RI if you’re familiar!! I feel like you would do them justice. I LOVE you’re builds and love your channel!!
You should do a Minnesotan house and the house could be a lakeside cabin or a craftsman suburban house because those are everywhere here
Would love to see a Minn. craftsman.
i am going to purpusely challenge you and suggest you build something for alaska next! i love the nature there!
I would really like to see Alaska next!
You should do upper Michigan next! Mackinac island has some awesome houses!
I would love to see a kentucky build in this series! I live in Louisville which is the biggest city but would love to see a kentucky farm house build!!!
Another state very similar to this build is Nevada..I think you would do such a beautiful build with an inspiration such as Las Vegas...even if it's not a suburban home maybe something casino-esque would be a super fun idea
omg i'm so early, i just wanted to say i LOVE your uilds and could you maybe build a home based on german cultur? that would be so nice
Omg yes!! I would love seeing her do buildings for different European countries 😍
@@vally2520 yeah, i love old european houses, but we shouldn't throw so much stuff at her if you know what i mean haha
Am I blind or did Tonya pull a EA and forget the toilet? 😂😜
No i noticed that too 🤣
My parents and brothers just visited New Mexico and Arizona, they loved it so much out there they decided that they want to move around the boarder of Texas (El Paso)
I think you should do a New Jersey build. I’m from there and they have some interesting floor plans. Most houses are really nice though!
I hope you do Kansas at some point, not quite sure what style you could go for because I think there's alot of different home styles here (not just prairie fields and cows 🤣)
I’m super curious what you would find about Wyoming. You should soooo do Wyoming next I’m excited to see my state and hear what stands out to you
Wyoming is actually the FIRST state I did in this series - its the one that started it all haha.
love your build ❤
Also someone who lives in NM, id say almost perfect except we do have toilets in our houses and our palm trees are just big Yucca plants.
You should try Georgia! We have many different homes you could choose from!
I love the commentary xD
"There are more cows than people in New Mexico!" me, someone who hates people "I should move to New Mexico! 🤔"
Awe, you must of read my last comment because you did my state. Super nice build!
You should do South Carolina, we have lots of live oaks and moss, along with souther bell homes
ILLINOIS: The Sears Modern Homes kit - The Willard. They sit in plain sight through out IL even a few in Chicago.
Tennessee. I guess you would have to do 3 videos for that state. I live in East Tennessee and it's different from middle and west Tennessee
yesssss we love taos!!!
I mean, who needs a toilet when you can just pee in the pool? 🤣
🙃🙃🙃
