Hi. Just to be clear, when specifying an Allowance, does a positive number reduce the depth of the pocket, whereas a negative number increases the depth of the pocket? Also, does the "Final tool allowance" if a positive number, increase the width of the pocket while a negative number reduces the width of the pocket. Or have I got this all wrong??

And also, if you don't specify a second tool, is the "Final tool Allowance" ignored?

Hi Sir. L want to know, why l have small portion of wood leave on each tool? If i take 3 tools , 12 mm 6 mm and 3 mm . The cnc leave small pieces between each cutter pass! Thank you.

Hi Ghislain, have you tried reducing your stepover? Reducing it should stop your cutter from leaving any material between passes.

@@Carveco hi! the problem is not the stepover...i have no problem on each pass. but the problem is, when the first operation is finish i change for next cutter, for make better cleaning in the corner, but between the first finish cut and the second cut, the second cutter leave small area.it is small half moon of wood stuff. l dont know if maybe is the allowance is not set to good number...thanks

@@ghislainlatulippe6959 Hi Ghislain, you're quite right It may potentially be the allowance, or a few other things.
      - Check your machining simulation to see if the uncleared material is showing there.
      - Make sure the depth of your cut is correct and your machine Z is calibrated and accurate to the top of the material. (so the tool is going deep enough to use its entire diameter to make contact with, and remove, the material.
      - Make sure your material (if wood for example) isn't warped.
      - If the leftover material isn't deep in the pocket, try running a final cleanup pass to pick up the stray material.
