For real. League gets stagnant with the constant cum swapping of the same shitty players. Money needs to be poured into teams that can build academies that feed into the system.
MLS could avoid all of this and just increase spending limits. None of this is helping the league. "Bending" rules is not the answer. Messi has the world watching this league. Figure out how much is should cost to have a team that can realistically compete for 4 trophies and raise the salary to that level. In a perfect world not only Miami takes advantage of the increased spending. I would love to see the rest of the league spend more too but presently, the league should not allow themselves to be embarrassed because of overly stingy spending limits.
The cap needs to be abolish its the one thing holding mls back Not every player care about legacy. We seen players who are good enough to play in bigger leagues choose small leagues for money If the money was right decent players would consider joining the mls
@@shawnevans26 Makes sense. I'm a Sounders fan, but I've had a problem with MLS's model of monopoly and I live in Eastern Washington. Both combine with Spokane getting USL teams next year. 😁
Essentially, they need to increase the salary cap to draw fancier squads for better competition. Otherwise, you'll still have developmental pro teams that can barely compete.
MLS is stupid if they don’t let the Redondo deal go through. I can’t believe there were no meaningful cap changes after Messi arrived. They have it all and insist on shooting themselves in the foot. They need a new commissioner yesterday.
My opinion is that arrival GM or executive wouldn’t say that if they didn’t know the rules. I’m sure all the GM’s internally know what the rules are so that would be their grounds for saying something like that. If the GM’s didn’t know what the rules were how would they be able to build the rosters for this season? We just don’t know them on the outside.
I could honestly say all the people in my pick up soccer leagues and friends who watch the league, we pay no attention to salary cap and all the rules. We all just enjoy our cities soccer teams play soccer. There is no need to making it a bigger deal that what it is.
I always feel like Herc is ready to attack Seb. I think he fantasizes about it during some segments. Seb is oblivious and thinks it's just banter. Meanwhile Herc is shopping for guns.
i wouldn't say attack, but seb plays the role of the annoying younger brother who blabs about whatever, willingly as well, and so you're naturally going to have that kind of dynamic between seb and a more level headed person
Mls should just raise the cap brazil and mexico on average pay more than the states tjñhe whole league would improve plus it would attract mid talent from europe that aint over 30.
@@scheck006 on average liga mx might pay less but those top 4 teams beat us in the ccl mls should be whooping them by now or at least winning most years 1 out of 11 is the only reason mexicans think theyre league is better
The roster rules are complicated but they can't allow Inter Miami to violate the rules UNLESS they allow everyone else to take advantage of a loosening of the roster rules. I've heard nothing about them offloading major pieces so they better let every club do what Inter Miami is doing.
Inter Miami itself is already paying him 60M per season. Now add up all the sponsorship by Apple, Viewers, and Some ownership of inter Miami he is literally Pocketing almost 100M per season
No it’s everything, what is the mls’s goal to create a quality product that can compete with the other leagues in Europe or is it just trying to create a competitive league with no dominant team and average quality. At least inter Miami is trying
Im not going to start crying About Miami the bigger picture is All teams Benifit from Team loosing up cap salaries Senior Citizen Miami banking on short term success hopefully they stay healthy .. LAFC signed 4 guys under 22 🤓... hopefully they keep vela
@Maradona1986. Barely 28,000 people attended the Miami game in Tokyo, in a stadium that can house 50,000. The game wasn't even televised. So no, Japan won't help.
This is what happens when a team wants to compete with the big boys outside of the US in a Mickey Mouse league like MLS.But still has to get permission from his Mommy.
How have they been able to bring in everyone they have and not hit the DP cap space
Because they only have 3 DPs
Messi, Busquets, and Campana are DPs. Alba and Suarez are taking a pay cut, and it makes sense since they're friends and they want to play with Messi.
They admit that MLS might change the rules for one team. Then they say the person leaking this info is "petty." C'mon, this league is a joke.
Lol
It gets harder and harder to defend this league by the day. Bush league behavior...
Shut up
Find it a joke if you want, but I enjoy watching it.
@@AdamRafeedie I used to enjoy it until they started making these anti-competition moves and prevented millions of fans from watching their teams.
I'm new to the MLS transfer news, but i think this is why the dont have good defenders, let clubs with money spend

Not like FIFA , UEFA, La Liga, League 1, and the PREM have EVER followed the rules.......or enforced them......
Same ol

Time to pay more attention to the USL. They're working to build real leagues.
I can not do that because I’m a fan of Orlando City not Major League Soccer. I will follow Orlando City anywhere they go.
Nah, I love my Five Stripes! Go Atlanta United!!!

Same rules for everyone. However, the rich are about being rich. If they think they can make more money by making exceptions, they will.

Just raise the cap not like mls owners have to worry about pro/reg
If city can get away with it and suffer no consequences...
Punish Miami! Is this a league for competitive sport or to make owners rich????
The MLS has a rural understanding of football and salaries.
Team is weak

Fire Tata Martino immediately and get a real head coach.
As a casual soccer fan -- FORGET THE RULES. I WANT TO SEE MESSI
Here’s what the MLS should do. Add relegation and start over completely
I like having a salary cap so the league has more parity than most, but yeah it’s way past time to bump the cap up
We got fined and wasn’t able to get new players on last year’s first window, because…..?exactly!(LA GALAXY)

Gregore is gone. Another is likely gone shortly. This has been hashed out.
Messi still won’t play at Chicago
Did we really miss out on Redondo because of this?
Yes. We were meeting with him today, hopefully we can close this deal.
W messi
Yedlin back to Seattle!!
let inter Miami go bankrupt and use them as an example not not give them more funds let them take out a huge loan
The best part is that Inter Miami is spending all this money and they STINK!
Lol..Messi is turning Inter Miami into Barca alright..financially..
More rigging for Pessi lol
This is a non-story.
Inter Miami is badly run, firstly Phil Neville was a terrible coach even when they spent money, then they bottled last season massively.
Screw inter fort Lauderdale
You mean after scamming fans out of millions of dollars, they're still broke?
