I have purchased over a dozen CFK knives over the last three years. I carry one every day a pretty 6" Damascus 1095 high carbon steel blade with a rams horn handle. i have kept 2 for personal use and have given the rest out for gifts. I could not recommend CFK enough. They are by far with out a doubt the best custom knife maker for the price I have ever seen. I have yet to see a negative review by an actual customer. I have 2 recent purchases, very impressed. The quality is consistent with this review....today is 1.19.21. A loop for for a fire rod or sharpener is a nice touch. The reason we don't carry an ax when hoofing, my pack is at 35 lbs...ax, NO!
I still have mine, I don't bushcraft or hike but I like to wear it when I fish or go out in the woods shooting etc.. My boy got one in VG10, I like it also. I think you get more than you money's worth with these knives!
After purchasing a couple of dozen knives from this company over the past few years and getting and giving only positive feed back, they suddenly stopped taking my bids on eBay. Have sent emails asking for an explanation, I have yet to get a reply. The only thing I can think of is an email I sent questioning whether or not they had a license to use the U S M C name in selling a particular knife. The email was simple, " Please tell me you are not using the U S M C name without a license. " A simple, straight forward inquiry. Did not get a reply to that one either. Hardly seems like a sufficient reason to ban a good customer who you have had a cordial relationship for years. Still it is their business and they can ban whoever they want. I just believe if you are going to do this, at least have the balls to say that's what it is.
