What a remarkable, talented man. Despite everything, he is still standing and dancing, and sharing his passion with others. And he's happy. There's a lesson in persistence to be taken from Antonio's story. Impressive and amazing ❤
Thank you for such a wonderful interview of Antonio Our Maestro - our company Flamenco Sin Fronteras and Flamenco in Singapore wouldn’t be what is without him. :) We didn’t expect the footage of our rehearsal for upcoming Singapore Flamenco Festival in mid October to be included especially with our resident dogs Sam and Sofie 😂!
what a great life he's lived, pure simple and followed his heart. .. didn't know such talented person lived here in our country.. proud that it's worthy for him to be living here adding on to his rich history past and present.. stay, healthy and carefree.. have another Cognac n cigi dear sir :)
This interview on Antonio is one of the best and most interesting episode of all of Max's videos. Keep it up Max you are doing great in this field of interviews. Antonio's interview shows of a man who is positive and wise in his dealings in whatever he does. On his advance in age and daily physical activities which takes a toll on him I suggest he takes (on a daily basis) a pick-me-up health supplement also its for longevity. I am 77 and have been taking this particular brand of health supplement for over three years now and plan to live in my 90s and healthy. He was wise not to take statins as it is a drug which slowly but surely kills you. The big pharmas are earning huge profits on this drug at the expense of us humans.
Thank you Max for these great interviews. It certainly gives us Singaporeans an outside window view, both good and bad, on how foreigners perceive us or making their roots here. Hope you and your family as well as those interviewees can find their happy place in that little corner of Singapore.
I really like this kind of interviews. The ' getting to know' kind of segments. Singapore should be honoured to have Maestro Antonio choosing Singapore as his home. Thanks for sharing your insights and wisdom to us all.
Some Westerners think of Singaporean culture as culturally inferior to Western culture. This is nothing more than the brown-stained racial bucket directly beneath one's brown hole. Money, power, opportunity--three words that conjure up images of Singaporean / Chinese culture for many Westerners and expats in Singapore...as if that is all there is to it. But what do the facts say? Singapore is safe, clean, stable, and people are gentle and treat one another with respect. And that's not culture? Is "culture" considered culture only when it is of Western origin? What many of these snobs miss out is that Chinese and Singaporean culture is very deep. It is deep and profound because it is immensely rich and adopts best cultural practices from Western, Indian, Malay, and Chinese culture. Through a process of trial and error, Singaporeans have learnt to work fairly with one another, always keeping in mind never to foist their religion, language, and ideas of the good life on others. Singaporeans are not ideological and have no use for fluff, puff, or chest-beating intimidation unlike some countries that put nationalism ahead of humanity. So give Singaporeans a break already! They have done enough for the world despite their lack of geographic and historical good fortune. Max is doing a great job bringing Singaporeans and the world together, and that's HIGH CULTURE! It's not just talk, but real action that eases tension and promotes understanding and compassion for all in Singapore regardless of nationality, language, religion, or socio-economic background. I see kindness every day in Singapore where ordinary people go out of their way to help someone, and they do this despite living very busy, difficult lives. That's culture--and a very good one . I want my children to learn from Singapore. ❤
I have been following your channel for some time but i have to say this one is the best ever! I met Antonio when i was working as a Security Officer over at Pelangi Village some years back. Don't think he remembers me but we hold small chats with my shitty Italian/Spanish and i must say he's a very very humble man with a big heart. His life story completely blew me away! A perfect example we should all aspire to be!

What a life this guy has! So far, the best ! What brilliant attitude he has too. I love his enthusiasm and positive vibes ..❤ Thank you for this excellent interview. Fantastic!
Thankful for showing different lifestyles and helping me to open up my mind. Not just the 9-5 routine or OT. life is more than work. He has done it in the early years and enjoyed his life. Many just coup up the same routine day after day. I would love to experience life from seeing these. When living in sg, sometimes it's so easy to sink into all about work all the time. Work hard and play hard is still not an easy thought. Came from the work hard and work harder environment. Life is too short to spend 80% of the time to just work and not explore the world.
Your best interview so far. Anthony is a revelation. I wish I had known he was living in West Australia. He has had a very interesting life and still is. Keep up the good work Max.
This is such an interesting interview and personality. Thanks for sharing this with us. I feel like bringing my old knees for a flamenco dance class now! haha! I'm glad you're staying here together with us in our tiny island, Antonio.
Another smashing video Max! So much to learn from your guest! With regards to your question, I would love to meet Will I Am or Will Smith or Sandra Bullock or Jennifer Lopez :)
Wow Max! Another great interview. How do you find such interesting people to interview in of all places, our little red dot. Never thought Singapore would have attracted them.
Thanks for sharing Antonio's experiences. I think Antonio is very wise. He has gone through much in life and he is willing to share them with your viewers. Good Job!
Fantastic Interview Max!! The interview was raw, unfiltered and so interesting, and Antonio's life story was very fascinating! Keep up the great work 👍👏
Such a beautiful interview. No filters, just a nice conversation. I think you are doing great work Max! Seeing so many sides of Singapore I never knew before. Showing through the eyes of people is the best way.
I love this interview and learning about Antonio. He is very articulate, interesting, inspiring and when he narrated the part about the fire in his restaurant which destroyed all the historical records of his past work, I cried for him. It is a shame that he couldn't get an SPR or citizenship.
😄 They have already passed away; Audrey Hepburn, Mira Furlan, Andreas Katsulas, to name some. William Shatner is still around but I doubt I'll have any chance of meeting him. The Prince and Princess of Wales are coming to Singapore in November this year to present the Earthshot prizes or so I heard. Beats my having to buy a plane ticket to the UK. 😄
Hi Max! I must say, this is the best video interview you've done & especially with the great Maestro Antonio Vargas! 👏👌✨ It's truly amazing how focused he is in answering all the questions, with true passion & love coming from his heart at his age. I was so glued throughout the entire video. True passions always, always comes from the heart. ❤ Fellow S'porean fm across Asia. Job well done Max! Bravo!
love what u share as a artist.....believe u in u strength too (don't take LIFE SO SERIOUSLY )yet u keep finding who u truly are ...why u are here and even the tree can live longer ...how to boost u health as u aged away ...it would nice to meet and know u (Ivan is 377a chap) I love dancing very much when I was young and still do ......wow u history and LOVE LIFE is very colourful and expressive ....salute u yeh
How is it possible that a father to 2 Singaporean children, married to a Singaporean wife cannot get permanent residence? Doesn't make any sense to me.
Might have something to do with the fact that he's been married 3 other times before? This marriage could very well end just like the rest, and as for the children, they could very well end up like his last 4. He didn't stay in the countries his other children were from, so why would he need to stay here for his singaporean children?
I’ve watched many 30min TV shows that are complete waste of time, but this type of video can actually enrich and improve one’s life
What a remarkable, talented man. Despite everything, he is still standing and dancing, and sharing his passion with others. And he's happy. There's a lesson in persistence to be taken from Antonio's story. Impressive and amazing ❤
What a blast of character, thank you for letting me know him through your video!

Sam and Sofie is so adorable, can’t wait to see your performance this October!!

I learnt more from your interviews with all these great people than what i had learnt throughout my whole school life.

Just give it to him after all he had contributed. Like it said he’s already 80 plus. What is there to lose.
83!! Another salute!!
If i had met Sir Antonio on the street, i would never imagine the exciting colourful life he's living.

I enjoyed this. I relate to his story cause I feel I’m on the same path as well.
I hope PM Lee take notice of your channel. Excellent 👍
Dear Mr Antonio, once you forgets your identity, u will find your true self……back to when u were born…
Captivating
An interview with Aleksandar Duric or Milenko Prvacki would be great!
An honour indeed., 👍🏻
Didn't realise that there are crouching tigers and hidden dragons among us in presumingly unexciting Singapore.
