The jar is for the shark's protection. The ball you see attached is not a yolk. It is the food source for the shark while inside the egg. The egg was kept where we could watch it to make sure the shark was still alive and moving inside. Some shark eggs have been known to not hatch at all because the shark dies inside the egg. When this shark quit moving inside the egg and we recorded no movement for a week, we decided to cut the egg open to make sure it was alive and not dying. Once the cut has been made, you have to finish it. You can't just leave it because it is more harmful for the shark. This particular guy ended up doing just fine and outgrew the tank. We ended up trading him to someone with a much larger tank in exchange for some corals for the reef.
jeez people really you could obviously hear the water in the back round indicating that they had the necessary stuff set up to take care of this shark and were obviously experienced in this field so calm your criticism. they knew what they were doing.
Everyone stop getting so upset this little guy got put in a jar. The shark obviously wasn't ready to be out of the egg just yet but they cut it to make sure it was alive and well. The jar acts as the egg until the little guy has eaten that ball connected to him. There for the jar is needed and y'all people who are moaning about that can't quit it cause I bet you guys know shit all.
They put it in the jar for 2hours so it gets used to the water temp and all the fish and then they let it swim around because remember it's a new born it's like your mum just gave birth to you then strict away you go on a roller coaster .
Whenever I'm feeling upset or confused about a video, I simply check the comments to see the answers. THE FREAKING EGG NEEDED TO BE CUT TO MAKE SURE THE BABY WAS ALIVE. thnk u.
I'm guessing the reason why the baby was placed in the jar while in the tank to prevent the other sharks or fish from nipping on his yolk sak or to keep it from pulling it on coral etc
theese people were not harming the shark in any way although most of you are saying: oh you killed it by putting putting it in a jar although that probably SAVED ITS FUCKING LIFE
I agree.. btw dont you be stupid by saying something offensive, it just does nothing and your not a scientist so you could be wrong about it being harmed. Now back off 10 year old children
Kellie Davalos - Poneyfeathers in the wild the egg shell is usually weakened by getting brushed against the sand, coral, rocks, ect. by the current. It makes small holes and cracks in the shell so that the shark can break out when ready. In captivity theres nothing to stimulate that, so its very common for baby sharks to become trapped inside the egg and die. The shark in the video was no longer moving in the shell so they had they had to remove it to make sure the baby hadnt died
How long did the wee one have to stay in his or her make shift egg? That was tense to watch. I didn't read the info or comments first. I was so tense worrying that the lil guy was going to be bleeding.
When u are doing the cutting and stuffs... Do u need it to be in certain temperature or add a lil bit of chlorine? Im just curious... Or is it taken directly from the tap water?
PaNdeM0niuM No, some sharks have to break out by themselves. But it is safer to cut them out so they don't damage any part of their body or so they don't die.
The way people are reacting to this guy cutting out the shark and putting it in a jar makes me wonder what they think of preemie humans being kept on life-support until they fully develop. Or if any of them bothered to *read the description.* They were making sure the shark wasn't *dead.* Once they were sure and saw that it still had its placenta attached, they put it in a jar to *protect it* until it fully developed.
bloodi mary they cut it open to make sure the shark was still alive, it’s common for baby sharks to die in their egg before hatching so in order to make sure it was still alive they cut it open and then put it in the jar to continue incubation and act like an egg.
Sharks hatch when they are ready. Cutting them leads to a premature birth and will almost gaurentee health issues for the shark. In fact, it most likely died within a few days
I just watched someone had 2 of these, and one shark hatched by itself and he helped the other one, and it had cord still but it had already absorbed its egg sack, never seen one still have egg sack attached
How do humans get born without a doctor doing a Caesarean? The US has a third of it's population delivered via Caesarean. In some countries that is MUCH higher. It can be as high as 70% in some hospitals. Unlike humans, MOST sharks will DIE in the shell. They lay hundreds of eggs and a small percent will hatch and of those that hatch only a small percent will live to adulthood. Humans use to have a high birth mortality rate before we invented the Caesarean and a NICU incubator. It should be 10%, as any higher doesn't decrease mortality rates, but doctors still push the Big-C. In this case, a perfect example is: baby isn't growing like it should and stopped moving inside the womb. Doctor delivers via C-section a premature baby and then sends that baby to the NICU to be incubated until everything develops properly as it was removed from the womb earlier than it should have for the baby's own good because the baby would have died without being pre-mature. The shark wasn't moving inside the egg. In nature this egg would have "failed" and the shark would have died before hatching. Since this Shark was destined to be a pet and would not have survived/will not even if released once healthy, - so don't even go there and claim it shouldn't be a pet and can now be released into the wild, what have you. Anyways: The Shark wasn't moving so the breeder cut the husk open to see if they had to cut their losses (The shark was dead) or if they could help it along by giving it a little more room. It was alive so they placed it in the little jar as their NICU incubator so that the nutrition source (what we call a yolk in a chicken egg - the yolk is NOT an embryo - not even in a chicken egg, but stupid people think the yolk is what grows into the chicken for some reason) would get disconnected or eaten by the other fish in the tank and because the Shark can't defend itself and could be eaten by the other tank dwellers.
Ashlyn Piazzisi the Little shark wasn't moving so they checked if it died there. Then they had to put it in a jar to act as an egg so the little Guy could grow safely since it wasn't ready to hatch yet

every time i see one of these baby sharks being cut out of their egg sacs, it reminds of when I turned 18 and my mom told me get my own place to stay :( feels bad man.
I guess you could call it a sea section

Awesome video
E yolk is their food source lol
Christy Duhl that ball is the yolk because the yolk is the food source for any animal that lives in an egg. That why is so fattening
Christy Duhl Yes, the "ball" is the yolk that nourishes the shark until it's fully developed. You'll see that in many animals.
+Christy Duhl I had no idea sharks laied eggs..its only some sharks right?
jeez people really you could obviously hear the water in the back round indicating that they had the necessary stuff set up to take care of this shark and were obviously experienced in this field so calm your criticism. they knew what they were doing.

SugarNuggets :3 u don't have to say sh***
Ok can I just say I love your profile picture supernatural yazzz go team dean
happy to hear this little guy not only survived but grew big and strong!
People being upset because it was put in a jar. Thats how some people choose to incubate their sharks. Or to check and make sure its not dead.
I was sad that they put it in a jar
They put it in the jar for 2hours so it gets used to the water temp and all the fish and then they let it swim around because remember it's a new born it's like your mum just gave birth to you then strict away you go on a roller coaster .
Ya you put it in a tank with other sharks or predators befor it can swim its screwed
It's for the sharks protection and to get used to the water temperature
SugarSugar 😫😭🤣😂🤣👍🏽👍🏽

Whenever I'm feeling upset or confused about a video, I simply check the comments to see the answers. THE FREAKING EGG NEEDED TO BE CUT TO MAKE SURE THE BABY WAS ALIVE. thnk u.
Brie Beauty I made it a 100
Right! Or simply read the description before watching. Lol
Aperntly they did this to check that it wasn't dead but I still needs to incubate so they used a jar
When u see everybody saying to others to stop freaking out over it being in a jar but don't see any comments that r freaking out
I think it was very educational good job
Shark comes out at 2:26
I started off in youtube watching music videos and somehow ended up watching shark eggs hatch. What a time to be alive.

the shark was so cute and tiny awww 😄😄
ok calm down and be happy duh sharks don't come out as 15 ft
I'm guessing the reason why the baby was placed in the jar while in the tank to prevent the other sharks or fish from nipping on his yolk sak or to keep it from pulling it on coral etc
Correct on that part and to act as an incubator to make sure the shark was still living
not a yolk sack, it's a placenta
The shark is so cute!
😆
Noir Knight i
I didn’t even know a bamboo shark was a thing till I watched sea level
theese people were not harming the shark in any way although most of you are saying: oh you killed it by putting putting it in a jar although that probably SAVED ITS FUCKING LIFE
Ronni Turnip 😐😑how do you know- okay
Ronni Turnip you shut up. Learn what the word ho means. And maybe learn :/
I agree.. btw dont you be stupid by saying something offensive, it just does nothing and your not a scientist so you could be wrong about it being harmed. Now back off 10 year old children
thank you for actually posting a NON harmful video.
how nervous were you when the yolk didn't fully come out with it?
That aquarium decoration is so beautiful! i love it!
Do excuse my ignorance but can I ask what that little ball was attached to the little baby?.I Don't know anything regarding shark's but I'd love to!
It's a yolk sac if I remember correctly, it's the food source for the baby.
why the heck does this keep getting recommended I was watching captainsparkelz and then I noticed this was recommended again. for the 10th time.
Lol
Me toooooo😠!!
Lol sameeee bro
JT Smith same... but I was watching asian stuff...
captain sparks sound like captain sharks..sorry im late for this hehehe
So does he mother shark lay this egg or was this removed from her? I’m buzzing out that sharks lay eggs. That seems so bizarre!
Why do thy have to open the egg? I would think it would happen when the time is right...?
Kellie Davalos - Poneyfeathers in the wild the egg shell is usually weakened by getting brushed against the sand, coral, rocks, ect. by the current. It makes small holes and cracks in the shell so that the shark can break out when ready. In captivity theres nothing to stimulate that, so its very common for baby sharks to become trapped inside the egg and die. Birth would be incorrect. It "hatched" from the egg.
Es este un procedimiento para dar a luz? Porque utilizan tijeras me puede alguien explicar?
How long did the wee one have to stay in his or her make shift egg? That was tense to watch. I didn't read the info or comments first. I was so tense worrying that the lil guy was going to be bleeding.
When u are doing the cutting and stuffs... Do u need it to be in certain temperature or add a lil bit of chlorine? Im just curious... Or is it taken directly from the tap water?
Do u have to cut him free?
Or can they naturally break out of the sac/shell ?
PaNdeM0niuM No, some sharks have to break out by themselves. But it is safer to cut them out so they don't damage any part of their body or so they don't die.
I started off watching music videos and somehow ended up watching shark eggs hatch. What a time to be alive.

What is that ball like think with the baby shark?
Do u have an update or didn’t it make it?
The way people are reacting to this guy cutting out the shark and putting it in a jar makes me wonder what they think of preemie humans being kept on life-support until they fully develop.

Why not let the shark come out on its own like how it's done in the wild? .. if can't what are the reasons for being cut out? I'm actually curious.
bloodi mary they cut it open to make sure the shark was still alive, it’s common for baby sharks to die in their egg before hatching so in order to make sure it was still alive they cut it open and then put it in the jar to continue incubation and act like an egg.
Enrique Estrella oh dam thx 😁
How to get bamboo sharks?
do bamboo sharks bite???
I dont even like sharks but here i am watching this😂
where did they got that from
the shell looks so hard to break. how come the shark not distinct
what is the round thing that tie to the shark?
I believe previous comments said it was food for the unborn shark.
Where did you get that egg...!
I thought they would have a lack of oxygen if sitting still for to long but I'm not shark enthusiast or know much past what they show on shark week.
I thought sharks gave birth?
Gg ft guy uti u,8u,
Слава ленина only nurse sharks do, but another type does too..
Слава ленина me too
Ikr, me too.
Yes they do but they arent all the same way and style
i thought that if you had to cut the egg open then its not ready to hatch
where did you get those??
they need more wáter or not?
Sharks hatch when they are ready. Cutting them leads to a premature birth and will almost gaurentee health issues for the shark. In fact, it most likely died within a few days
Devlin Hawkins it still healthy if u wanna know and pls read the description
That’s cool that this man took his time to help that shark
I just watched someone had 2 of these, and one shark hatched by itself and he helped the other one, and it had cord still but it had already absorbed its egg sack, never seen one still have egg sack attached
What's the guy cutting?? The egg??
i just want to no ..... why do you have to cut it out ? it cant come out on its own?
Beeah Mel because it wasn’t moving and they needed to check if it was still alive
Did you open the bottle
i'm guessing a giant puffer fish, can't wait to see your sharks..
How do they get out of that hardass shell themself in the "wild"

Adorable, but wut was da thing he was cutting??
Mary Hamrick it's egg sack sometimes the bamboo shark can't get out of it and needs help in the case here

Why did you leave it alone n the jar
What were you cutting was it like a.... egg or something?
It's a shark egg
+JordynPlays1312 thx
Swag foxy says it in the title kinda
Like seriously, what the bloody hell did you think it was? Where do you think sharks come from? Brought by the stork?
Some people... -.-
I don't get people who fucking think that a egg shaped thing that holds the animal inside isn't a fucking egg but an actual animal.
cute shark but why remove it frombthe egg case?
Previous comments mentioned it hadn't been moving in the egg for some time and they made the call in case it was dying or already dead
They wanted to know if its dead cuz it wasnt moving
Why did you cut the thing in the beginning??
So as to free the shark inside because apparently it stopped moving. Do you even read comments?
how do you get them
Wait...why did the egg have to be cut in order to birth the shark? Does it hatch on its own.. sorry I am confused XD
Ashlyn Piazzisi the Little shark wasn't moving so they checked if it died there. Then they had to put it in a jar to act as an egg so the little
Guy could grow safely since it wasn't ready to hatch yet
Ashlyn Piazzisi and there is a high chance shark die in is egg in the nature
so that's the egg you cut into? not part of the mother shark?
+AvaQueen Bee (AvaBee) sack
Lol
yeah but do NOT use scissor! it's very risky.....
Update video???
in the wild life do they open their egg by themselves? cause i mean the “Shell“ looks actually pretty hard
They normally do.but sometimes there are complications.
how did it hatch in nature?
Semondo Abimanyu It can happen but fish keepers do that to be safe.
wow thanks
Porque ponen el pez en un frasco???
how big did ot grow?
*does it
It actually grew until it was too big for that aquarium, then we took it to some friends who had a bigger tank so it could continue to grow.
+Christy Duhl what was that sound at 2:36
Aww it's so Adorable 💋💖💙
what is that thing he is holding
Bianca Barnett eggsack.
You know in the wild life aminal lay eggs.
Then baby are hatching from them
All the comment say don't critasize that he's in a box but no one critizeing
At the end I thought the shark diyed😂😂😂 p.s. Sooooooooooooooooo Cuuuuuuuuuutttttttttteeeeeeeeeee
what was that ball? i have no sound
India Richardson it’s for there food
thanks
Did u find it
Why do you open the egg in nature who opens their egg ??????
In nature most DIE!!
Think of it as a C-Section and the jar as a NICU incubator for premies. You DO know HUMANS have a HIGH rate of Caesareans right and their mortality rate is MUCH lower (10%) while sharks have a HIGH mortality rate if no intervention is given?
Why have a 1/3 of the US C-sections? Why do some hospitals have a 70% C rate? Why not let nature vaginal birth them all? I mean 10% is NOTHING compared to the Shark death rate that don't hatch without help.
I’m feeling claustrophobic just watching this lol
Sharks start from eggs!
WHAT!
HOLY FUCK MY MIND IS WRECKED!
BURNINGEMBERS RAGERIVER yeah some sharks are oviparous (egg laying) and others are viviparous (live bearing) 😁
How do you know the shark was ready to be born?
Loveigh Ladey they didn’t, they did it to check if he was still alive because he wasn’t moving
every time i see one of these baby sharks being cut out of their egg sacs, it reminds of when I turned 18 and my mom told me get my own place to stay :( feels bad man.
What's that white ball ?
Jam Buddies his food supplement
