Hell yes!!! Awesome video FAL guy! Really enjoy your content, especially your videos sharing the history of the SA and Rhodesian FALS. We need your help with something else, FAL guy.. we need a Afrikaans speaking individual to translate or transcribe a video from legacy concervations with Koos that features two veteran SADF trainers conparing the R1 vs R4 vs AKM. Its a very long and comprehensive video, but youtube translator cant translate the video!! Save us!
What do you recommend how to use an FAl for left-handed users Like charging stances what attachments need to be changed out like safeties, bolt releases etc and what would you replace them with?
There are not many parts out there yet to make it more ergonomic for lefties. Safety and ambi bolt release will be out soon. And you can get the ambi mag release already.
The FAL is a 70+ year old design, which was largely out of service by the GWOT. The AR-style platform saw enormous development over the two decades of GWOT and decades more of LEA SWAT usage. The MCX cleaves to the AR-style form factor and modularity. It's simply not a fair comparison. DSA's Improved and OSW series would have, perhaps, been a better features comparison, but the MCX will always have an features advantage.
im telling you man the velos 762 is perfect for your fal i run it on my para and didnt need to install the suppressor plug and silencerco already makes an asr 9/16x24 lh muzzle device for the fal
I think if we're going to compare the FAL, the point of comparison might be a G3/HK91/CETME, M14/1A, BM59, etc. This is basically a battle rifle vs. assault rifle comparison. A FAL PARA with 30-round magazines - the somewhat more common straight ones (the curved ones IF You can get them are running $150 - $300 EACH) is very heavy and would result in a very heavy loadout - probably 2.5x - 3x the weight. That's a lot to carry around. If you're looking for higher power in that 0-300 range, the FAL. MCX if you're wanting the more traditional assault rifle role.
On another video comment that you said you can custom order fal from DSA how do you go about doing that And how does that work and you like ordering all the parts you exactly want on it?
Almost went with the Improved Battle Carbine version but ended up with a SCAR 17s NRCH. Not as unique as a tactical FAL but still cool and bit more practical.

Send me the link. And I'll try my best to keep the Afrikaans and FAL heritage alive
@thefalguy9848 You are the best, friend. th-cam.com/video/aej712h3tEc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=e7nlA1xQGuEN3lLw
Such cool rifles great setups!
Thanks
Have AR's, AK's, Springfield Hellion, PCC's, and AR pistols. My slightly modified Para FAL IS still my favorite to shoot as ammo prices come down.
I agree, the FAL beats all of them. But the high ammo prices are not cool right now
Reload.😊
Is your SA58 13 or 16 inch barrel? Good video.
16 inch barrel
Nice!
Hi did not see your previous review of the FAL , question how much does FAL para weigh with all the gizmos on? looks heavy?
I'll take the FAL any day of the week over that post modern Sig. Mooiste lekker video, FAL guy!
Dankie tog 🤙🏼
I'll stick with the FAL. Been waiting for dsa to get the ambi safety back in stock
Same. I hope to have more details on that in a few days. Gonna be at their booth for Shot Show
@thefalguy9848 let me know what they say
I like the fal better😂
You better !

True. Glad DSA is still making aftermarket parts so the platform can keep on living for a few more decades.
The Para FAL is great. And great is good enough to fill the rolls needed.
Yes. Will all the modern updates it is simply the modt versatile rifle out there
That FAL is waaaaay too drippy 💧🤤🥵

Good stuff bru, just something about a proper battle rifle that just keeps on truckin'.
I agree. There are pros and cons to both but as we all know, a 7.62x51mm rifle still does the job quite well!
@@thefalguy9848 100%!!!

Just give DSA a call or send them an email with your custom order. They'll take care of you
I can never get used to the 30rd magazine. Its too long for my taste but you make it look cool for some reason.
I wish we had some 25rd mags... and I agree it's akwardly long but it does provide more ammo. So some sacrifice has to be made I guess

Considering the time, about 60 years old now. The FAL is still a viable but heavy option
100%! And with all the upgrades it still is a top-notch firearm
the FAL for the WIN.
Now get a Drum for it.
Well first step would be to find a reliable drum mag for the rifle
FAL
how you updated style fn fal
See my video on the combat ready FAL, linked in the description
Love the fal but I've carried one for hours and hours and hours weight matters
It does weigh a lot but it also packs a pretty devastating round. And that's a huge plus...
Oh man, exposing him to 5.56 will make him change his channel name to "The 5.56 Guy"
"Everything is just so much easier now!"
No never. I have a few 5.56mm guns but the FAL is still my favorite.
There is NO COMPARISON.
DSA PARA FAL RULES ! ! !
.
Hah lol. Agreed
You got to get someone to send you a MCX in .308 and do a comparison.
If I had the money I'd get one in 308... and nobody will be sending me one 😞
I'll take the SCAR 17
