Raaj Kumar (8 October 1926 - 3 July 1996), born as Kulbhushan Pandit, was an Indian film actor. He worked as sub-inspector of Mumbai Police in the late 1940s before he turned to acting with the 1952 Hindi film Rangeeli. He appeared in the Oscar-nominated 1957 film Mother India and went on to star in over 70 Hindi films in a career that spanned over four decades.

राजकुमार साहब वास्तव में राजकुमार ही थे। अपनी रौबदार आवाज में जबरदस्त डायलॉग डिलीवरी करने वाले एकमेव अभिनेता थे। एक बार किसी फिल्मी पत्रकार ने उनसे शत्रुघ्न सिन्हा के बारे में कहा कि पब्लिक शत्रु जी जब डायलॉग बोलते हैं तो खूब तालियां बजाती है, इस पर राजकुमार साहब का जवाब था, कि लोग तो उनके जूतों की आवाज पर इतनी तालियां बजाते हैं।
आवाज बहुत दमदार थी किसी की आवाज बन के साथ मेल न ही खाती आज भी अमर है हमेशा लोग याद करेंगे ❤

I am from Bangladesh. Raj Kumar became my uncle's friend when my uncle went live in Bombay in the 50s .They used to have breakfast together in a restaurant and that is how they met. When Raj Kumar died my uncle cried ...I still remember this.My uncle had also passed away a long time back.The funny part is my uncle was very good looking and somehow he looked like Raj Kumar.
First filmof Raj kumar was ' Dil ek Mandir' which Isawin1964 .Iwasreading in class 7th. Rajkumar wasa cancer patient & marriedto Meena kumari ex belovedof doctor Rajendra kumar who treated him. Role ofRajkumar touched ourheart &tragic endofthestory.
