It will be very helpful - but won’t guarantee a job. The resume + interview performance will be important too 🙌

I work for an AWS Partner and it’s great, prefer it to working for AWS because there’s less bureaucracy and I pretty much get to work exclusively with one client and help them along their cloud journey.
The AWS MSP landscape is broad, some partners are awesome others will get washed out in the recession. Easiest way to work for an AWS MSP is through a NOC like job because those are the easiest for freshers to get and there is always a hiring need for those roles. Right now MSPs are reeling back hiring of less entry level roles as well, but if you get your certs and work in any technical role, that will be a good set up for success when the clamps come off
What specifically is a NOC? Is it Network Operation Center Tech?

I work for a company that has an AWS environment so i just do support for them. There are probably many more similar companies that want or need internal support rather than using partners.
I have 9 years experience, installing, removing, and maintaining (troubleshooting & fixing) lottery systems across multiple counties. That's Vsats, small networks at each store, multiple computer/terminals, vending machines.
I was looking to move into the cloud, been taking my courses for AWS to get my certs, that was my goal this year, such that by the end of the year I could start applying for jobs.
To do this, I am daily drive Linux as my main OS, and been building up my GitHub with every script and problem I encounter, with a solution to said problem.
With the hiring freeze, and now a 18,000 layoffs in AWS, what's next? Where do I go from here?

I am already in IT and have been for a long time. But I would like to switch over to AWS within my current company. AWS is used in our infrastructure, so I would like to know a good training/certification path to follow to get a promotion. I just developed a relationship with a recruiter on LinkedIn from a major network storage company in my home town that noticed my AWS Cloud practitioner and Linux skills and got an offer paying a very very nice starting salary! So as I stated b 4, look at these smaller companies out here that need Cloud fluent people. Your resume and social media presence can get you noticed I think faster from smaller companies. And a lot of times, these smaller companies do have deep pockets as well!😊 I just want to encourage everyone to stay focused and if you're looking for a job to keep the faith and keep listening to Lucy! My co worker just got an offer a couple weeks ago and starting next week at Amazon. Although they're pretty nervous since 10k employees just got laidoff. Another friend of my who is currently in Amazon said they're offering voluntary laidoff and get a 3month lump sum plus 1 week per 6 months of employment. I guess you left a bit too early

Very informative video :) . I have two questions.
1. I am currently enrolled in an aws academy course that gives virtual lab assignments. An example of a lab assignment is (creating a VPC networking environment for a cafe). It’s a challenge lab and has instructions on requirements but doesn’t provide guided steps to complete the lab. Can these labs count as projects?
2. How do you add an aws project to your resume? Do you include all steps you took? Or just important steps?

You are really helping individuals like me to get going in these times. It feels really hard not to find a job or getting ghosted by so many companies you are sending your resumes to. It makes you feel so unwanted. Your dignity falls apart. There comes those nights when you can't sleep. Stressing over the realisation that you always ran for being a helping hand for everyone around you, providing them in all the best ways possible to simply realise later in life that all those years was wasted coz you ended up not having a great job or earning. And now that you are developing those skills which obviously takes quite a good time.
So that you can provide in a much better way to the loved ones around you. There is nobody who wants to hire you and Sleepless nights continue.

American here who In the future is interested in living abroad, specifically somewhere in Europe. Not like 3 months but more like 1-2 years via digital nomad visa, with potential of maybe longer.
