  • We recently met Matvei at the Longboard 360 event in Paris. Besides his fun personality and flippity freestyle tricks, we noticed he was riding our 2018 Moonshine Elixir longboard. Being that we just revamped it this year as an all new 2019 version, we figure we'd send one out to this steezy Russian to see what he thinks of the redesign.

The 2019 Elixir is my first longboard. Loving it so far. Still trying to get used to the extra real estate of a longboard

Just ordered mine, I've been Longboarding for about 2 years and I use to ride the Apex 40 DC but I think the Elixir will definitely top it!

so what's your opinion vs apex 40? thanks ;)

@@julienmolliet5104 Good question! I definitely love both board haha, but I will say the Elixir is SIGNIFICANTLY lighter, yes I know tail guards and specific hardware will make things heavier (I have Pairs V3 180mm trucks and DCS wheels 70's) so my setup for the Apex was light haha. But on the other hand, the Elixir has the same materials that the Tail guards use, except it wraps around the entire board and it's much much lighter. I mean they both have their own pros and cons, but I'd have to say for the Elixir (pros) it's very light, super easy to flip around, very responsive, plenty of room, and a great all around baked for all aspects of longboarding! And the Apex is noticably heavier, strong as hell, very responsive, and a great all arounder for Longboarding too! So really it's a personal preference between the two, hope that helps!

@@skatinpeyton7212 thanks a lot for your answer, I appreciate. Yes you don't really help me because I thought both are great and you confirme that :) hard to choose ! but I think lightness of elixir will convince me. I already have a switchblade (heavy and stifwhich) is great for sliding and stiff but lacks double kicks.
With the same setup witch one have the more pop for ollie? the most flexible ? compared to what you say, it seems to be the elixir?! I'm not a freestyler, I just want to be able ti do somme small ollie to have a very versatile board.
just an other question about the wheel clearance do you know what is the maximum wheel size for both with juste one 1/8 riser and paris v3
      thanks again

@@julienmolliet5104 Hey no problem! And yes you can definitely Ollie with the Elixir, I landed a couple of them yesterday haha. But hmm I would probably think Nothing bigger than 70s for wheels? Could probably go a few more up but I think 70 would be pretty high to the cap haha
