I had a reservation for a standard room at the Grand Californian. They upgraded me, without asking, to the El Capitan suite. Full living room, full kitchen, office, double fire place, full dining room, double vanity seating in bathroom with separate tub and shower. Full size patio overlooking the California Adventure park. The person who brought me up to the room told me that Johnny Depp and Julie Andrews stayed there! It was one of those magical times I will not forget!

OMG We were upgraded to the Mickey Mouse Penthouse and the Disneyland Hotel one time in 2013! it was awesome!
I was upgraded to the Frontierland suite at the Disneyland hotel when I went for the galaxy’s edge preview. It was quite the magical moment for me and my daughter.
Nice room!! I love the views may try to that for the next trip. We always stay at the Contemporary. Two trips ago they didn’t have a king bed available and upgraded bus to the hospitality suite in the garden wing. It’s HUGE! Full windows from end to end over looking the lakes on all sides. It was lovely to see all the boats pass by and wave. The grand baby loved it. Thanks for sharing. So happy I found your channel. 💕👏🏼

I would LOVE to stay at Bay Lake Tower or any resort that I can see Magic Kingdom from. I could stare at the castle all day! And seeing the fireworks at night would just be the cherry on top!

We stayed there about 2 weeks ago. We paid for a standard view and got upgraded to a lake view! We took pics! We loved it! It’s nice and quiet. And we got to watch the electric water pageant each night!Was phenomenal!

I am a new viewer to your channel. Your Walt Disney voice overs take me back to traveling to Disneyland and then Disney World with my mother every year. We actually stayed at the Contemporary a few times. My father was killed in December and I was born in March, my mother, being a single parent always saved and scraped to take my sister and I on a summer vacation to Disney. Such fantastic memories, I am now 60 years old, still enchanted by Disney and watching your videos make me cry and smile at the same time. You are so sweet & kind and have the childlike excitement all of us Disney fans feel. Thank you for the beautiful memories and your genuine kindness make your videos the best.

Bay lake is soooo nice!!! Love the sky bridge to the contemporary and the water slide is actually not a bad thrill. I stayed there once and the bedroom was nice, the bathrooms were fantastic, the kitchen was outstanding, and the living room area was pretty nice too!!! The lobby was awesome and so was the outside. The lake is awesome, especially when they have the little light shows. The pool is cool too!!! I stayed there once and it was insanely fun!!! Love that we had a booth in our table. Forgot to add this… but the view of space mountain and the Disney castle was insane as well!!!
I love that resort and California grill is my fav restaurant with a view of castle 🏰 of MK

We stayed in a Garden View room once about 10 years ago. Well, technically it a parking lot view 😂. It was a splurge for us and we thought the room was beautifully decorated. Ultimately we thought that if we splurged again, we would opt to stay in the main hotel because the additional walking to get all the way to the Garden View section was too far 😂. Our feet were tired!
We stayed there before with a parking lot view too...around the same time! Unless I was at a convention I wouldn't choose to that again. It was a long walk too if I remember right
I stayed at the Garden Wing for a conference once. I was very impressed at the large size of the room. The walk to the main building/monorail and even to Magic Kingdom really wasn't that bad.
Watching your videos and hearing the sincerity in your voice reflecting on how fortunate you are, is quite touching and makes you so relatable. A real pleasure to tag along on your experiences.

I love Disney’s Contemporary Resort. We had a theme park view for the 2 weeks we were at WDW when we were on honeymoon. There’s no place like it. 💖

In 1989 we stayed @Garden room with patio that faced lake.Very large room and nice & quiet.
Staying at Disney in any room is great.
We’ve stayed in the Garden Wing a couple of times and love it! We’ve always had a ground level, water facing room so it’s extremely peaceful and so fun to have coffee in the mornings (or wine at night) watching the boats go by!! Highly recommend it!

We stayed at Contemporary Garden rooms in July 2021. Best vacation ever. I understand they’ll be renovating those rooms soon. Our rooms were wonderful - spacious, comfortable, with excellent customer service at every turn.

Ah ! BLT!! We’re there in July, can’t wait! We’ve stayed in the Contemporary, in the Tower. We’ve had both MK and lake views. Love it there!
We were placed in the Contrmporary Garden Wing in March. We had reservations for All Star Movies, but it wasn’t going to be open. We couldn’t believe the upgrade!! We loved the Garden Wing. The room seemed pretty large, we had a patio, and were right by the pool. We stood on the beach to watch the Water Pageant each night. It was wonderful!!

I am even older than you, but I get just as giddy when I get to Disney World. I actually moved to Florida so I could be near Disney, and I lived right behind it and watched the fireworks at night from my yard. I had to move because I couldn’t take the heat 12 months of the year.
The bad thing was that I moved there when there was a drought; we had fires for five years and my house smelled like smoke all the time.

Garden wing 1st floor is unbeatable. My partner and I ate breakfast on the patio with rabbits 🐇. The beach and pool are huge and close. I prefer garden with over other Contemporary properties. Easy to navigate and Quiet. The water bridge you showed is where the light parade starts from.

I stayed in the Contemporary in1993 - those garden rooms feel like they retained that 1970s feel of the original Contemporary before all the upgrades. So much similar to what I remember in 1993.
