Terrific writer. A gentleman in Moscow was unforgettable and now I'm reading the rules of civility. His books have characters that never leave your mind and become a part of your life
What a gem! I thoroughly enjoyed all his works so far; he is the sincere voice of American exposition that I have been seeking to hear🙏en medias res👌”At play in the fields of the Lord”RB
Amor is hands down my favourite writer. The way him and murakami envelop and weave philosophy into their stories, the peculiar asides that seems unrelated to the story until they fold back in perfectly and the unmatched depth of his characters, even those who play minor roles (here I always think of the two drunk posh guys on the train carriage in the Lincoln highway). There is nothing I dislike about Amor's work. Every year I Google his name in the hopes there's another book coming
