We met as Game Wardens in North Carolina and have moved across the country and world ever since. Living in North Carolina, Colorado, Washington, and now Guam, we are always outdoors and drinking beer. Nothing ever goes as planned here, but it doesn't stop us from trying. We have developed a fear of being attacked by a giant eel lol, even though not plausible the fear exists. Now we are thinking about a saltwater crock being washed away from Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬 and lurking here lol!

Which river is it. Been living for 5 years on Guam and never suspected there would be rivers large and beautiful like this.

Those fish you got a underwater shot of are called garfish use a tiny hook a split shot and a float a bit of bread blended add a bit of water and turn into dough Use for bait and you should catch them. also they are one of the best eating fish you will taste

We always called those needle fish in the southeast US. We have never tried catching them on a hook , that’s a good idea for a video though!

lawrence tyquiengco we went there once before but paddled there and it took us forever and got dark quick and we had no beer lol. So we def would like to go back and actually enjoy it.

did you pump up the boat with a footpump?
Rodi rodi we pump it up about 50% at the house with a shop vac, that way it will fold in half and fit in the truck. When we get where we are going we pump it the rest of the way with the hand pump it came with.
Aren’t a lot of the rivers still polluted and not recommended to eat the fish?
Rick Robinson We have heard that the fish up the Talofofo are good and not polluted .
I’d been doing some research when I saw that about the rovers still polluted with mustard gas from ww2. I know it’s not all of them. Just trying to be safe when I take my kids fishing. Hiking to Sigua falls tomorrow IF the trail isn’t blocked off.

Rick Robinson haven’t heard about mustard gas in the rivers , but I know some barrels went unaccounted for after WW2. I have heard about high bacteria levels in the beaches occasionally and cocos lagoon still has some PCBs /DDT detectable in the fish . Safe for eating just not daily. Sounds like a fun hike!Hope there is nothing blocking you guys from making it to the waterfall.
How is the durability?
The Alaskan model would be far more durable, but this suffices for Guam. The downside is one air chamber on each side instead of two.
What part of Guam is that river ? Is it Pago Bay river ?
