The drama is not focus about love it's not a triangle, the story is about life and how to be happy in a society where norms are dicted, it's the point of the drama, it's not a romance. So each characters are not focus on love story but on their lives and each characters have their problems. In Yeop's character finds his happiness and his relationship with the magician (Ji-Chang Wook's character, Ri-Eul) is rlly wonderful, sweet, funny and warm i rlly love their relationship. The webtoon too is really beautiful it's really a lesson about life and not focus on romance, it's interresting to see how each characters devellop themselves in many aspects of their life. We know since the beginning that the character of In yeop (Il-Deung) has love interrest but it's really not the main point and we don't know about that for the others characters, but it's really not the important subject even more in the webtoon. It's mainly about psychology and society, drama and webtoon included (forgive my bad english)

It's your speculation but she never said yes or i accept. Also Il-Deung used the excuses that Ah-Hee must eat to invite her he never said it's a date and decided by his own to rejoin her at her work but we don't know after that and Ah-Hee never affirms something. Furthermore after the call we can see her thinking and she thought about the magician but we don't know how Ah-Hee see Il-Deung at the final (but i don't say that she loves Ri-Eul we don't know about this point too we can only say that she admires Ri-Eul and has affection for Il-Deung and the magician in two differents ways one as a friend and the other like a "mentor"). The webtoon is never clear about it and the genre is not romance also we have the invitation at the end of the magician, it's an important point bcs he's the only one who we didn't know what he becomes, but we can supposed that the invitation at the final scene is the return of the magician (it's still a supposition again). Il-Kwon never said his webtoon is about romance we can only suppose but never affirm about it (and many others points are still mysterious) romance is not the point so why we must affirm something that it was not affirmed in the webtoon ? Ah-Hee always returns in the circus too but we never know about her feelings is it romance or not ? The fans of the ship Ri-Eul and Ah-Hee can also say that Ah-Hee always returns bcs she loves the magician but we don't know about it too, same with her reaction when she saw the woman she assumed to be Ri-Eul's wife (but again it's suppositon to say that she was a bit jealous). Maybe she considers Il-Deung like a friend and only admires Ri-Eul but never loved one of them. But we can say that they all grown up after these experiences and maybe that the magician has returned bcs of the invitation at the final. But romance is not the point we don't absolutely need romance the important point is that they all have an evolution and i'll not affirm something on speculations. It's your idea of the end of the webtoon and i respect it but the author clearly didn't gave answers about it. Why Ah-Hee must absolutely finish with one of the guys ? It's also very interresting to keep the ambiguity of the author and to let these answers unclear like Il-Kwon did it, they don't need to choose or end up with someone to be happy bcs romance or being in couple is not the only way to be happy and the webtoon showed all others kind of happiness beautifully. Il-Kwon devellop the fact that Ah-Hee is now free and indepedant why she needs to be absolutely with someone ? In the webtoon too , when he says 'I Like you' she finds it not romantic but like how a father says to his child .He is her father figure and such relationships do exist! 2) when Il deung asks her for dinner , she says she is busy but reconsiders and confirms that she is free after 8.She could have just avoided him by saying she is busy if she is not interested. Or like you said, maybe it could have been just a dinner b/w friends while il deong's mad happy expression witnessed by the child on the street confirms he is still crushing. I am happy about that scene ,at least,it is left to my creativity& wish.

But when he saw her with the other guy he is so jealous to the point he humiliated him and test her if she prefers money over love. Unfortunately, his money plan made their relationship turning from a potential cute couple into a cold business partner. When he listened to a rumor of her and the magician that made him mistrust her then following to see their flirting interaction he got jealous and thinking why she doesn’t look at him like that dude. I understand his feeling toward her. He likes her but don’t know how to deal with the girl properly. In my opinion, I think she looks down on herself too much to think he is one of bad people who see her as a worthless poor girl. By the way, I like this complicated character so much because his life is just exactly like my real life problem. When I see him like I see myself. 🤣
