Ahh I wish I could've been able to fit more Na Il-deung in here :( He's a really interesting character in the webtoon and I'm really happy with how they did him here. I do wish they would've added his webtoon ending scene though! Overall, I really loved this and I can finally say I am satisfied with a webtoon-drama adaptation!! I loved this. Some of the songs I would have removed as they were of no use, but some were well adapted. It's a bit like phantom of the opera and Alice in wonderland, personally I would have liked to see both boys showing their dark sides a bit more, otherwise it works. The magician was very well played. We'll done to all 3 characters excellent job.

I read the webtoon but still don't understand was he a real magician or not ...what was he....I'm soo bad at literature thing i don't understand it but still love it
I just watched the drama, and I think at the end it was implied that he was actually a real magician.
i think his magic works well when people fully believe in him. Also, his magic is more on healing people and not about granting wealth or other materialistic things like what genies do. this might be the reason why he used fake money that time when he and ah yi were surrounded by the guys whom the girl's father owe. he knew deep within that's not what will heal ah yi. after all, he became what he is because of trauma and the adults around him who failed to protect him. maybe that's what his magic is all about.
He is real if you believe him and his magic and he is not if you don’t believe him and his magic. it all depends on what your heart believes at the end of the day... 🦋✨

Both the webtoon and the drama leaves it open-ended, you decide that for yourself. He says in the webtoon “Every magician in this world are real magicians” For me, I took that phrase as real magicians since they bring us back to our childhood, letting us go back to that innocence, where everything is beautiful, and help us try to forget the stress of being an adult
it is not that you are bat at literature, but it depends on what the author wants to say, if the author wanted to say that he was really a magician, it would be told, so you have only two options avaliable: He is and he is not, but none of them change the magic of the show.

The ending is overall the same, but it shows that Ah-yi and Il-deung are going to spend Christmas Eve together. Before they meet up, Il-deung performs magic for a little girl who drops her candy. She asks him if he’s a magician and he says no. The final scene of the webtoon is also different because it shows an invitation in the magic mailbox that Ah-yi leaves her letters in, heavily implying that it’s from Lee Eul/Ri-eul
