Yeah , would love to win the bag..My husband and i raised cattle, goats and or sheep at different times. We went to pick up a load of hay!!! Well he was waiting for a guy to come load us up. He looked down and saw a rock. "Quite shiny" he said maybe it is gold! We knew nothing about gold or how to find it. Went to our local library in Auberry, Ca. Read a lot of books, joined our local gold club. "Central Valley Prospectors." So from then on, ( 15 years) we have been to many places and have found a lot of gold. Thanks for the give aways and thanks to that little rock that my husband found!😁😁😊😊
5 years ago when the world was ending, toilet paper was scarce, and coughing was more taboo than smoking the devil's lettuce, my fiance and I were looking to get away from the city. There weren't many options available, but Roaring Camp in Pine Grove, CA came up and was still open. Went for a 4 day camping trip, learned how to pan from one of the workers named Scott, and the rest is history. 5 years later, I am now the owner of 5 claims and can't get enough of playing in the dirt. It's my therapy. 😊
Wow another give away! I love camping in British Columbia and prospecting was always something i wanted to get into. Was able to reunite with a high school friend after 25 yrs who invited me to his claim and taught me to pan. I purchased my first claim from him and now enjoy sharing the adventure with all of my friends.

Was a kid in vacation with my parents in Colorado and there was a gold panning place along the road in the mountains. We stopped and I panned for gold and became obsessed. My Dad also had a gold nugget stick pin that belonged to his Dad and Grandfather before that. My great-grandfather had panned for it when he lived in Colorado in the later 1800s and Dad gave it to me and I turned it into a pendant and wear it all the time. I was living in Iowa and that posed problems as back then I didn't know there is actually gold there. Anytime I visited Colorado or South Dakota, I wanted to pan for gold. My panning has now been just paydirt and purchasing nuggets here and there. I do live on the Central Coast of California now and can't wait to visit Gold Country!!
What a great story! Generations of miners are in your blood. California has a lot of gold to be found yet. There are a lot of good clubs too. I wish you the best!
I got all excited about gold panning about 10 years ago, so bought a Garretts panning kit, then proceeded not to do anything with it and it lay forgotten in the shed. Then about six weeks ago was chatting to a mate about gold fossicking in our area and the gold bug bit again, hard. Since then my mate and I have been out in the Australian bush panning three times now - every second weekend. Each time we've gotten a few specs which spurs us on to keep trying, keep learning, and continuing to improve our panning technique. So I'd love to win the pay dirt giveaway, as we could use this to practise our panning skills at home.

With being in Michigan opportunities are limited other than Mico/Fly Poop Gold so I’ve been a Paydirt buyer for years. Grand father got me started in 1972 when i was 7 and now i am teaching my 6 yr old Grand daughter. And she is a wiz at it

I panned for gold on Philmont Boy Scout Ranch back in the 70's.
