Very informative video! The Terrain with Labels shows LIDAR images. These were taken from space and shows the land without the vegetation. It's the best way to find areas that have been worked on previously, as you showed. Sometimes you can see mine pits that were dug by hand and can draw a line between them to find a likely vein.

Congrats! Gold fever is the only "illness" I have found to be therapeutic and healing. The stress of the world disappears when you go back to basics and play with dirt. Gold is a nice reward, but being out in nature, seeing the real world and escaping the confines of humanity... That's heaven on Earth.

Those aren't easy to find down there anything of size usually deeper and hiding lol you'd be amazed at the gold Ive seen found deep in that river insane nuggets like yuba river stuff best ive done is pickers 1/4 gram or so

Ah, Sherlock!..a well known story here in Mariposa. Trouble is, the cradle hasn't been introduced to Calif by Georgian Humphrey until 1850.

Omgosh, no cure for that gold fever. I like sniping below the bridge left side, when the water goes down their is plenty of bedrock to snipe with that full face mask. I was slabbing bedrock ans pulled out a nice chunk about 1 foot square and found 3.5 grams, all dust. Sure looked good in my pan. All sniping with mask and snorkel. Maybe I'll see you down at the river this summer if we cross paths. I'll make sure to come by and say hello.

Gold fever for me, began by watching gold recovery shows, which has me with my 1st metal detector ever (4 days ago). I have been out poking around in the yard since I live 1 mile from an old fort in Ohio. I get it..I get the rush, the "Fever" that's something closely related to a concentrated feeling of "Hope" for me. 😊

A couple reasons the tailings are fenced off, dangers of falling in the mine but the worse is cyanide poisoning. The tailings and most the area downstream from the cyanide tanks and ponds can kill a person.

I think you can tweak it even more for exact locations you'll need when filing that mining claim? each one of those sqaures can be broken to 1/4's kinda not remembering all you need but def need 4 corner post locals.
