We have the exact same pickup. My husband bought it new in 1978. He uses it for a farm truck now and he says it's the most reliable vehicle we own. He has hauled many rick of wood with it.
My first vehicle was a 77 same model. My dad help buy it from my aunt. Some kid's bust the windshield and busted up the instrument cluster and ripped the seats. It was pristine when my dad first seen and asked for it. She only sold it after the damage was done. I drove it pretty hard and learned a lot from it. Bringing back some fun memories.. thanks for sharing
It's a sad shame that kids had to do stuff like this to that little truck. These trucks were built for endurance and would last a lifetime if taken good care of and respected for what they were. Only bad thing about them is in the northern part of the country whare they use salt to melt snow, these little trucks would melt away just like the snow add and ice as the body would be ate completely down within a year or two. Sad shame as these trucks are not only beautiful looking, but also run beautifully and smoothly to.
You know, I quite agree with you on this! I love the 521 series truck and the 620 series trucks the very best with my preference for the 521 series trucks. In today's mentality of these car and truck manufacturers, they won't build a regular cab truck anymore, everything has to be a 4 door station wagon truck. Not everybody has a need for a 4 door station wagon truck, because not everyone out there is married and has a good wife or children. If you don't have a wife or children, why would you need a 4 door station wagon truck then when a regular cab truck suits you quite well.
Seriously, Nissan should take notice and start manufacturing the 521 an 620 series trucks once again. Only thing time, build them with 4 wheel drive units on them.
Good video master. Hi Guys i have a Question for the experts. The rear Window with sliders Frames, was an accesorie óption or something aftermarket.? Somebody knows? Greetings from Mexico
At least you didn't stick those God awful, ugly wagon wheels and thin tires on this little truck nor lower it to the ground. I love these older Datsun trucks regular cab trucks, preferably, and especally love the 521 series trucks the very best, however don't mind the 620 series either which is what you have here, a 620 series with a L 620 B engine in it.

I love these Datsun trucks, my 77 has seen better days, but the good old L20b is still going strong, I drive 30 miles a day for work.
Beautiful looking Datsun truck. I remember when Nissan produced trucks like this. I would prefer this any day over what's being offered today.
