The 90s seems like it would have been a fun time to be an academic optimist. Strange to see how different and much less utopian our vision of "cyberspace" (a term we hardly use anymore) has become two and a half decades later.
just because the current state looks quite grim, doesn't mean we cant be optimistic and develop new utopian dreams :) it is now needed more than ever, without being able to envision our future, we are already lost
