    I am Curious, many people are saying that the Zimbabwean economy is in terrible shape, people are suffering because they have no money to spend on food let alone building, not only building but building mansions. Are these mansions owned by black Zimbabweans? I am from Zambia our current economy is better than in Zimbabwe but we don't have people building this many high-standard mansions. Am I missing something? Can you please enlighten me?

      The Zimbabwean economy has many challenges. Chief among them is tight liquidity. However, challenges present opportunities for innovation. Those who know how to innovate are doing it big

      I stand to be corrected but Zim's GDP is higher than that of Zambia despite our lower population
      Zim has issue but it's one of the most scandalized countries on Earth
      The bad media publicity we get sometimes coming from locals who go around badmouthing Zimbabwe every opportunity they get.
      The infrastructure development you see in Beitbridge is happening in every growth point in Zim
      Zimbabweans are building good houses.

Can anyone offer landscaping services to Zimbabwean property developers, house owners and institutions.....that's all that's lacking to get the true beauty represented by these structures..... People who are wondering how someone can build a mansion like this in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe contributes the 3rd largest number of nurses in the UK from Africa, after Nigeria and Kenya. Entry level salary is from 27,000 Pounds per year, which translates to 648,000 Rands. This is a CEO salary in SA. Luxury homes start from R2 million. Do the maths and you will find that a nurse based in the UK can afford this mansion. Not everything is about corruption. Lets stop the jealousy. You must appreciate the hustle and be inspired rather than hating. Nobody stopped you from trekking overseas to make a fortune. The problem with the majority in Africa, we don't read nor research, even though we have online resources like Google. Some of you think internet is witchcraft, still trapped in superstition and old fashioned beliefs. In life, you must have a curious mind, a thirst for general knowledge.

    • @menzimngadi6793
      @menzimngadi6793 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Bull$hit, R700 000 a CEO salary where? You will need to multiple that by 4 to arive at a CEO of a small to medium business or NGO and the number grows exponentially as you go into banking, mining, retail and pharmaceuticals. There are 55000 employees in public sector alone earning over R1 million, are those all CEO's. All of my friends/acquaintances (all in their 30 ) are in the private sector, they all including me are either specialists or managers, non are executives nevermind CEO's. They all breached the R1mil mark a few years ago. It is clear that you do not have a clue about salaries in South Africa. A R700 k salary is a mid level earning mostly and entry level in some fields such as medicine, actuary, IT ect.

    • @menzimngadi6793
      @menzimngadi6793 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Number 2. There is no luxury home for R2mil in RSA. You get a 2 bedroom apartment for that money. A neat 3 bedroom standalone will normally "Start" at around R3mil.

    • @menzimngadi6793
      @menzimngadi6793 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Number 3, the cheapest house on these images will cost you anywhere between R5 mil and 10mil and the number goes up the bigger they are

    • @Bourne-fu8bz
      @Bourne-fu8bz 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @menzimngadi6793 - Apparently English is not your strong point and you are clueless about real estate in SA. Find out what Entry Level means before ranting nonsense. If R700,000 is entry level that means a qualified or experienced nurse earns more than that. Qualified nurses (5 years exp earn up to 38,000 Pounds (910,000 Rands). Also use your dictionary to find out what "starting from" means. We are talking about minimums, CEO salary in SA is from R500,000 in most cases. Companies are not the same thats why we use minimums. I have done an extensive real estate survey from Western Cape to Gauteng, KZN. I work in real estate. There are many luxury homes for less than R2 million in SA. Most rich black people choose to build mansions in middle class areas to save costs, because you must meet a certain minimum value (e.g. R20 million) to build a house in affluent suburbs like Clifton, Bantry Bay, Fresnaye, Sandhurst etc. This is done to maintain market value. Once again, you must find out what "starting from" means. You have no clue what Luxury House means.

    • @menzimngadi6793
      @menzimngadi6793 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @Bourne-fu8bz Well English may not be my strong point as you have said but R700 000. Is not a CEO salary in South Africa. Do yourself a favor jut Google any manager jobs in South African SOE's or Director in a government department ( this is equivalent to a manager, the job titles are just like that) this will show you what I am talking about. Nurses, teachers and law enforcement officers are underpaid in South Africa and often tend to be careers that most choose for job security and satisfaction, not for high income.

      What do you mean living in high density townships. The goal is for all these growth points to turn into full fledged towns so that you don't have people congregating in high density areas in cities. Otherwise its kinder pointless that the vast majority in towns are living in high density areas when in stead they can live in medium density and low density areas for a cheaper price. People from remote areas should move into towns obviously they will occupy the high density areas.

Now you know why black people will remain poor until they come to their senses. They build out of jealousy and competition. They try and fail to convert rural areas into cities. If you sell expect a 1/4 of what you spent. There are no roads, is there running water and sanitation?

      This is the unfortunate reality, these buildings have no real value beyond the people who build them

      My thoughts exactly. I would like to see the state of the houses in 5 to 10 years time. While the are may certainly develop I am not optimistic given what I see on basic services such as roads.

      @@aid66546 i encourage people to build beautiful comfortable homes in rural areas and enjoy the fruits of their labour, just dont go overboard, dont overcapitalise because theres no financial return on emotional and psychological investment. Black people have to change their mindsets if we are to break the cycle of being at the bottom of the food chain. The children arent learning anything from the current way of doing things.
      Rather spend that extra money on a small agricultural initiative that can grow into a (subsistence) business and carry you at retirement. A beautiful home doesnt have to be large or double story. A single story +-200 square metre in rural areas is enough. They can extend later if theres a need.
      A double story should be a no no without trained professionals to inspect the standard and approve it, thats besides the fact that its an unnecessary cost. That slab is very expensive if you want to do it right and can be a safety hazard if not done right. Poorly built buildings collapse during heavy storms, uninspected and unapproved double storeys are a greater risk. Remember, the soil tends to be soft in rural areas, thats why rural areas are almost always green. Our forefathers chose that land for agricultural purposes, and now you build heavy concrete on it without an approve foundation and you bulk it for a double story, really?

      😂😂😂By your logic this is a collective mistake😅. ZW is not mortgage country and despite the proximity to RSA its a totally different system. None of what you see is financed as you'd be used to, there is a shortage of houses in ZW. Please never draw parallels with RSA, chalk and cheese, nothing in common. Totally different value chains and ownership.

    Landscaping in Zimbabwe is so poor. Beautiful houses in an ugly environment. It’s like eating pizza with sadza

    These houses are liabilities not assets.
    People should be building duplexes as investments.
    People do not learn at all.
    A big house needs big maintenance.
    Imagine if these people invested in trade centres,malls,shops,etc.
    The problem people are still caught up in wanting to be seen by what big house they have.
    Anyway each to his own.

      One thing I'm afraid off is obsulete useless bussinesses from western countries and asian countries being replaced by technology thinking that they can take advantage of africa developing forcing us to invest in their obsulete bussinesses by sabotaging our progress with technology. I just find it strange how you could call a current asset like large relastate a liabilitie it doesn't depreciate the same whay a factory could .Sango bush is everywhere why do we need duplexes in small towns like beitbridge it will demotivate people into staying in towns and investing.

      So you are saying that unwanted obsulete bussinesses from western countries and asian countries have gained in forcing their bussinesses to continue by using developing african countries by sabotaging our progress with technology. How pathetic can one get well I'm already telling you not in the democratic republic of Zimbabwe forget. Duplex flats should only be in cities otherwise in towns it will just demotivate people to stay and live in towns. Don't be deleting my comments.

    This Zimbabwean Mindset of competition.
    Imagine if just 3 of these people had come together and built duplex flats.
    Meaning many doors which is lifetime investment.
    -These big mansions are just money chewers.
    -Other people are building trade facilities not houses.
    -If you are to build a house build MANY doors that generate income.

      You are wrong, this is no fluk, so you think they don't have sucsessful businesses? Thus hard earned cash, there is business in Beitbt8dge, lots of opportunities, ask qnd we will share, its poverty mentality to think that a house must have many doors for lodgers, let peope enjoy their life in luxary and comfort with very few doors.
