At the time of this footage, David was 52 years old.
He was self-effacing and good-humored. We won't see his likes again.

He really sounded like a prick on this show, but he was far worse on TFI Friday as he tried too hard to be wacky. The girl in the video was one of the most predatory underage LA groupie who many (including Bowie) had sex with, she did later live with the lead singer of Aerosmith by her mother's permision & they married when she was old enough. Bowie was such a bullshitter, he often rearranged history around himself & his work. I made a website in the 90s which had a fan page to Bowie which I put in Bowie Wonderworld called The Mainman, it was both complimentary & frank. I also put a link to my own website which had many pages about sex, violence & death as statements presented as art. poetry & art, a short biography of my disastrous relationships (I reflected ambiguously on my affair with a young woman) & more. On his page I said it would be nice to have a second Pin Ups, he said he didn't finish the project so stuck the songs in Heathen - I also speculated about defacing classic art as a possible trend. From all of that came Outside, Thursday's Child (the first line of my bio) & some influence on Heathen. I gave him a backhanded compliment around his age & he put a message saying he enjoyed my site & I was very pretty when I was young in response. One pic I posted was of me in front of my boyfriends Jaguar Mark 3 which he said was his favourite car on the Ross promotion along with other references. He described me as tragic which wasn't true; my life had been but I had reached a happy place. So glad I helped to revive his career after his long dull period.

Always feel a bit negative about Bowie's 90's. He was somewhat lost, adapting to the trends rather than creating them, eager to reconnect with youth so making the mistake of appearing in dross like this. So glad the world got over the 90's 'yoof' hangover and remembered what a cultural icon and legendary mind he really was. No appearances on zany morning shows for Ziggy in the 2000's, thank God.
