We conquered Mt. Sawtooth (5/9 Difficulty), 24 km till campsite. It took us an estimate of 28 hrs from start to touchdown at campsite which includes rest. It was hard, mentally as it was our first summit to that mountain, so we had no idea about the distance, though we were warned that it is a long trail (which was).
Infested with leeches, bamboo's sticking out on the trail, and dear lord the trail was loooooong! There were difficulties with the schedule, originally there were 16 trekkers, but was trimmed down to 8 (Hence the FINAL 8).
This journey is one for the books! It tested physical and mental strength, patience, teamwork and unity.
Much love for these people who came, it was asked and it was given. The energy they shared was empowering.
