I'm a veteran ark player so these tips don't usually find their purpose when I'm watching but man Pterafiers voice just has something to it that makes me want to watch. Sounds so simplistic and satisfying and chill.

i have a suggestion on the multiple generator. generators a function called 'unpowered autoactivation' wich means if you conect several generators with each other with this function on, when one goes out the next one in line turns on succesively until it's out of power, i personaly use this option to save gas, rarther than having multiple paralel networks, you connect them so they reactivate whenever another generator goes out
this is also very helpful not just for Gas gens. but Tek Gens too. having a back up gas gen to a wind gen and also to power crucial things you need power to. if your tek gen runs out or fails.

If you're on aberration, you can also make gasoline by combining green gems and congealed gas balls in the chem bench

I know I’m a year late but thank you!! I’ve been trying to avoid using electricity in Ark ever since I bought the game but today I just decided that it would be a cool change to start using it so I looked up how to use electricity in Ark and your video popped up. I thought I’d have to watch a few videos to understand it but I was wrong. I feel like I know everything about electricity now after watching this video!! It’s so much easier than I thought it would be!! Now I don’t have to worry about finding the perfect temperature for hatching eggs and now I can use the egg incubator!! I will definitely share this with others I know that play Ark and don’t know how to use electricity!

A good video of all the maps and details about switching, pros/cons. And stuff like that would be cool. Maybe even a video on some of the "backstory/story" that we can gather would be cool too.

It should be like a 10 second video: heres what you do, turn on generator, place cable with outlet, boom am electric now.
Newer players don't really understand the mechanics.
Also flexible cables are extremely useful, I recommend trying them out.

Things to add for the future the auto turn on feature on gens in case one goes down the next turns on automatically save gas, range on generators, the entire concept of windmills to find 100% wind areas to never use gas, and batteries
if you run the S+ mod on PC's it's worth noting the S+ doors Automatically open and shut without any electricity or pressure plates, the feature can be disabled through the wheel menu too.
Found out how to use flexible items organically and let me tell you it took me a solid hour to figure it out
I was wondering of that 1 by 1 trap could work on a larger scale trap, like something to trap a dino such as a trike or stego

*picks up jaw on the floor* Pressure plates... to create automated doors ? Well that opens a whole new world. I never thought of that ! And to be honest I don't use pressure plates or even keypads, but now you've given me food for thought.
I'm surprised you didn't mention the specificity of tek generators in this video (how they can work without wires or outlets, which is why they're so popular), but I understand it's a midgame tip. It's just that it would have centralized all information on generators in one video.

Great guide as usual! You're churning them out these days, it's great :-) - one note, IIRC air conditioners run on electricity right? They seem pretty useful given it's near-impossible to hatch eggs without them? :-)
They do indeed :) I have a nursery with like 8 of them in a semi circle lol
They are very useful, and I like to connect a turret or two, to the nursery so people can't just rocket and kill my babies.

Ptera, says auto turrets (just any turret except for the plant ones) are most vital for defense.
Me with plant x: Should I try them out? I heard that they’ll need literal ammo. I have a ton of fertilizer to keep the plant x stocked. And I can attest to its effectiveness. (Sweats profusely)
You do need advanced rifle bullets(ARB) for turrets, but they're very good. If you hit level 100 you can get the heavy auto turret, which consumes 4 ARB per shot(also shoots rockets) you should use both plants and turrets in mid-end game.

L M A O The struggles I've faced, do you even know? It's... embarrassing to say how long I have been on the beaches safely but cautiously grinding. Constantly dying. Sometimes I wake up at night in a cold sweat, wondering if I'll ever be brave enough to venture north and bleed out on something other than sand. My friend, what you have given me here is hope. That's normal. You'll see those cables when you place an electrical device near the outlet

Electric systems work underwater when on a turtle's back. You can't use flexible wire though.

@@pterafier I fave a wind turbine set up at the edge of the dunes and I’m running the wires up to my base and eventually it stops turning yellow

If its low then that means your turbines have a low chance of producing power
