I went through half a bottle of Ani X this summer, so I completely agree. But I also just bought Tiziana Terenzi Al Contrario at a fabulous perfume shop in Naples. In my defense, I had no interaction with the brand itself and the shop staff were absolutely lovely. 😂
Really liked this. Agree on almost everything you discussed. Royal Oud is such a great sleeper fragrance.

This was a super fun video! 🙂 I love Flowerhead by Byredo, I think it's a fantastic scent. Creed, Escentric Molecules and JHAG aren't really for me, but I kind of love how different all these brands are - they all have such strong "personalities" and I love how fragrance lovers have such strong views on different houses. Makes me wish I had perfume friends in real life as I could talk for HOURS about this!

Clemence - really great video! I must admit that I have nearly the same opinion on every niche brand which you aren't fan of. To be honest only niche brands that are (in my opinion) great - Amouage, Guerlain, MFK, Frederic Malle and BDK. The rest: not great, not terrible (and I really want a complex, strong sillage fragrances, not something what is away withing 30 minutes).
OMG!!! its actually quite fun! 😂 I loved this concept Florence! Ienjoyed a lot. I can't stand Mancera at all. So agree with you. Have you tried Vele By Tiziana Terenzi? I really like that one for summer, quite tropical without smelling cliche.

3:11 lmao same reaction I had. No idea what that brand even is. Boadiceo the victorious is insanely pricey and has some amazing scents so that would have been a good one, and as for Juliette has a gun, I think they have some amazing women’s perfumes at less than other niches that don’t perform as well, which is a controversial opinion from my experience.

A while ago, you talked about Scherzo from Miller H., and guess what? Juliet Has a Gun has this fragrance called Mad Madame which I tried on a travel size and love it…so I went to check the ingredients on Fragantica and found that is compared or it reminds of the Scherzo to some people. I really need to try that one, sadly everything is so expensive in California 😭😂 hopefully for Christmas 🙏🏼🫶🏼🌹

That was so fun to watch and it’s also good to know why you don’t recommend some fragrances. I love how you pronounce Mohave Ghost. At first I was so confused! Here is my attempt at this in case you ever get trapped having to discuss a Byredo again. Mo Hah Vee. 😂 I happen to love Bal D’Afrique. They are way overpriced. I totally agree that Byredo can just be too simple but I I will credit them that I discovered the gorgeous combination of violet and sandalwood through Mojave Ghost. Zara did a dupe a few years ago that I thought was even nicer though! The fruit in it goes a bit strange on my skin. I got a sample of Terenzi a while ago and it wasnt very memorable tbh, such a shame that they treated you like that. I noticed that I stick to mostly French brands, maybe they're more accessible to me so I've been sampling lots of Italian brands like Gritti and Nobile lately (merci Jovoy!) do you have any Italian recs for me to try?

For Italian brands, I love MILANO FRAGRANZE, ACAMPORA, Nasomatto (it’s Italian ? I think) , Profumom Roma, so manyyyy
100% agree with everything you said. I’ve tried almost all that came up in the wheel over the years and didn’t understand the hype. It’s good to feel validated and also to know that there are reviewers as honest as you. Also agree, Royal Oud is amazing and I love smelling it on my husband. Lady Vengeance is the only one I liked from Juliette Has A Gone, and also think the brand is overpriced. And Byredo is overhyped, though Bal D’Afrique smells good, just too soapy for my taste. Didn’t get what the big deal was with Le Labo either when walking into the boutique. I like and own Eau Duelle Eau De Toilette by Diptyque. The only one I liked from that brand so far (might give it another try). Curious to know which you like from Diptyque?

I thought this was a very fun snd innovative video! I enjoyed it very much. I completely agree with you about Byredo…overpriced and very bland in my opinion. Thanks for the fun!
Another line I find overrated is the whole fragrance line of la collection extraordinaire by Van Cleef & Arpels … however I went to test the fragrance named 22 Vendôme on my arm (only sold at their salon de Parfum 22 Place Vendôme) and not only did I like it but it kind of put a spell on me … I can’t stop thinking about it … unfortunately they did not have a sample for this one for me to test for a few days …
It is a floral chypre (even though technically it shouldn’t be called chypre as there is no oakmoss) but it does smell like a floral chypre very very slightly spicy, the patchouli is really toned down for the better and the Iris and vetyver + tonka combo gives it a distinct signature worthy vibe !
And for anyone looking for a unique gift, this fragrance is only sold 22 Place Vendôme and NOWHERE ELSE in the world ! 😎

@@clemenceccfragrance especially on Tiziana terenzi. I bought Arethusa off of a lot of positive reviews and it smells like a rotting pile of dead flowers mixed with jasmine. Never buying anything from that house again, did not like the sample of Kirké either!

lol! I KNEW as the wheel chose the brands, most weren't your style. I cannot warm up to Byredo with one exception, I enjoy Tulipe. My favorite Creed, & I love many of their older offerings for men & women, is Tubereuse Indiana. Creed Original Cologne (now called Pure White) is one of the most beautiful citrus scents ever done. Creed Green Valley is, for me, one that got away: I should have bought it when I could even touch the price. It's stunning! // YES! Please do the wheel again and perhaps she will be kinder next time. ;)

I'm laughing with you, not at you 😂 I agree on Byredo being way overrated, but not on the order of Tom Ford and Creed 💀 💀 I have now worn all my Miller Harris samples! The only one I wasn't thrilled by was Oud Éclat, the maltol note made me feel a bit sick and overwhelmed. I am wearing Black Datura right now, I made myself hungry somehow 😅 I think it is pretty femme, and I also think it would be super sexy on a woman. Coincidentally, I am wearing ATH Onyx Extreme and they actually pair well (although the ATH is in the dry down). But I will definitely be buying Leather Rouge, Tea Tonique, and Lumière Dorée. Thank you so much for talking about MH all these years

Hello Tiziani Terenzi Ursa is just classy! It’s one of my best fragrances ever. You just have to go past the indolic beginning and you will get the best dry down on a man!

I have to agree with you on everything. I do love the scent of Gypsy Water and Bal D’Afrique but the longevity is horrible, shameful really. And Byredo’s pricing is outrageous. Le Labo is way overrated in my opinion too. I hate Santal 33 and find it harsh. But I do love Another 13 and Lys 41 which last hours on me and smell beautiful. Tom Ford and Diptyque brought me into more niche style fragrances and I adore Diptyque candles. However since Tom Ford was bought by Estée Lauder I feel that the fragrances last poorly on my skin. The older formulations of Black Orchid, Noir de Noir, and Soleil Blanc are still wonderful though.

My favourite personally is remember me but you have to enjoy a chai latte ☕️ kind of scent, it’s pretty special !

I love Tiziana Terenzi fragrances. I’m disappointed to hear that they’re basically a55h01e5.😢 my favorite is a little discussed one called Chimaera.
After like I said this is a touchy subject because that’s my personal impressions, it doesn’t mean it’s been the same to every one, also I’m not the most familiar with their scent, so don’t worry too much about this, I’ll try Chimaera ! 🙏
