This is why me and my husband do a non traditional thing and I tell him what I want. No guess work, no big money wasted on terrible gifts. But usually, the best present we give each other is that we don’t have to buy presents for each other. I would rather pay a bill.

I have to say, Ann Hathaway's part, that was classic funny. Because people really do act like that.
The Christmas Candle song is pure genius. They should sing it in church. Sung by a church choir -- total inspiration! 😊
It's easy to make the words awkward or get the emphasis on the wrong beats on that sort of song, but this one was absolutely smooth.
The candle is my life. For years, my mom would put everything people from work and such gave her into my stocking. I would then distribute accordingly.

Went to a black Friday at Walmart once. I lasted 3 minutes. Got the eff out.
I avoid stores like that on black friday since my mom tells the story of how a man got stabbed at a Georgia walmart she was in one year and people were stealing toys and electronics from peoples carts. My mom is a big woman who can fight and when she says stay away from Walmart on black friday then that means dont go in Walmart 🤣

I've regifted more candles than I would like to admit 😂 to my 6th grade teacher who recieved the dusty seashell candle I pulled from a shelf in my home that my mom never lit, I'm sooo sry
Better then what i took to a birthday party for what would eventually become my best friend..in 1990 i was 10 and my neighbor was having a sleepover birthday party with all the girls in our classroom.
My mom was poor as hell so therefore i was also and everyone knows of you grew up poor your parents were not even springing for toys for you, let alone a neighbor kid.
So the only thing to do was walk around tye house till you found something that looked semi new and wrap it up.
So i found a half used deal of powder. The powder container was that weird to wrap cylinder shape and had flower print all over it...may have been avon. I wrapped it and put a christmas bow on it.
When i was a teenager i was staying the night at same friends house and cleaning the back porch for her mom and boxing up stuff in their huge old house and i found that powder at the bottom of some old unused camping equipment. Definitely lame as hell.

The Candle song is great. My go-to gift idea for most people I know is a few DVDs. I find ones at thrift shops still unopened. So, I buy up some during certain sales throughout the year and keep them in case I need to give someone a gift.

@@jshepard152 I was working an overnight shift after a recent blizzard so it was pretty dead while I was there but the general atmosphere, the preparation before hand, and the stories I heard from the day shift people were definitely that frantic. Everyone who worked the busy period was a total zombie for like a week afterward xD
