edit the vbios to unlock core,memory and pwr limit. i have mine on water at 1200mhz core 1245mhz memory and +99 pwr limit, made a huge performance gain, vbe7 and atiflash are the software needed to edit and flash the vibios, would make for a great 2nd video on this card
The fan I used was a blower fan that I had laying around. It was connected to a normal fan header in the motherboard. I planned on using speedfan if I needed to adjust the speed but the motherboard kept it at a decent temp

I believe I used a thermal take smart series 500 watt psu. As long as your psu has enough wattage and the 6pin pcie power connector you should be fine. If you have onboard graphics with your CPU you can connect to the motherboard and see if it's booting. If it is go into device manager and see if it's listed in the display adapters.
@@randomcomputes9965 thanks for the info, i am using a 500w evga psu and i did try booting up on integrated, and windows would recognize the gpu(with the 6 pin power connected), however when i would install the radeon drivers the system would crash. when the sky 500 is in the pc by itself and integrated graphics is turned off, the fans ramp up but no display or rgb on my keyboard or mouse. sounds like a power issue to me? i would love to hear your opinion on this if you find the time.
@@randomcomputes9965 by the way, the motherboard im using is practically the same motherboard you used in your HD 4200 video, its an ASUS m4a785-td v evo with an hd 4200. i tried using both the sky 500 drivers and the auto detect drivers from amd, which tried installing w7000 drivers before the system locked up
i bought the gpu from cne direct on ebay, and they advertised it as the sky 500, and the sticker on the gpu says sky 500, but the listing description said w7000, which is what AMD auto detect says it is. so i switched gears to w7000 drivers, but that unfortunately did not make a difference.
how did you overclock it that high every time i try to overclock to a setting higher they 1075 it crashes in most games it would be nice if you could help me
Overclocking a gpu is the same as overclocking a CPU is really just luck on what your particular card can do based on the silicone lottery. I got mine to overclock decently but it never stayed that high throughout most of the games

Did this to make mine an s7000 I guess they're both the same card? Way higher power draw in this mode but we like the frames :)

Just paid like $2 for one of these because they thought it was broken 💀 just doesn't work on a lot of motherboards from what im reading online

What drivers are you using? I think I used the firepro w7000 drivers for mine. I should have included that in the video.

@@randomcomputes9965 Solved! I had to disconnect from the internet and install amd drivers because Windows was loading a driver version from 2015😒.
