🙂 Cool, thanks for testing this old school combination, the 3470 is my daily driver, it was meant as a spare computer for my living room but since i spend most of my time chilling in the living room it became the main, i have a 580 8gb plugged into mines and it seems to boot up and work fine if anyone is wondering, i have a asus 970 that i bought used when i pu a 4790k combo its in storage rite now, that hitman game u tested a couple weeks ago was finally released on GOG so no more stupid 'online only' denuvo like drm which is still the only version avail on steam as of today, thanks for the video, put a good power supply on that board because that board is very rare now, once you burn it out u probably wont be able to find it again. Theres still a bunch of good Asus Pro boards out there tho. Long Live 1156 😇🙏
No problem I enjoy messing around with older setups and seeing what that are capable of. Hate it when people just trash talk setups because of the age. Thanks for watching and keep on enjoying that 3470
I can definitely add those. That would be a pretty hefty upgrade for the price. Like a 50% bump in performance I think. If your not wanting to do a complete upgrade I would definitely be upgrading to the x3470. Thanks for watching
@@randomcomputes9965 thats weird, your right, i just checked and the x3470 is cheaper than the i7-870 rite now, its probably because you cant buy the new chinese made generic xeon friendly boards rite now, if u dont need the integrated graphics then go for the 3470, ur running a 650 which is 2/4 so yeah thats no good broh, make sure you use your old chip to update your bios to the last version that it was updated too because the 3470 was usually not included in old bios versions so it mite not boot up without a bios update. keep the 650 around just in case you find another 1156 cheap, you will need that 650 to update any other motherboard as well.
Thank you for adding the helpful info it's definitely appreciated. I still haven't built this ov yet haha too busy with work and life at the house. Been a while since I even built a PC. It's definitely a nice motherboard and I plan on holding onto it for a while. Thanks for watching and the comment
Your CPU must be being held back in the bios or is faulty in some way I have one of these running in a gigabyte H55 2sh board with a small oc 138 fsb instead of 133 and mine turbos to about 3680/3700. Bare in mind that the M/B it is running on is not a overclocking powerhouse. I have the vcore running at 1.3125 with no probs. So your chip is really underperforming
I like it man. Utilize all means. Function over fashion is one of my favorite mottos.
Also a very effective setup. It's nice to see people using their brains
Thank you glad you like it
You hit 50 subs ten of my friends subbed to you
Ha nice you pulled through. I'll try to get the giveaway anouncement video up soon. Thank you

Thank you really appreciate it.
Cool video!👍
Thank you
cool guide
RDR 2 won't run on my X3470 system because it lacks AVX support, so i'm wondering how you got it to run, can you enlighten me please? Cheers.
Can you include synthetic benchmarks if you do the before and after overclock. I have the i5 650 might swap it for this it's like 20 bucks lol
