    Hello sir
    losses
What is the difference between curve number and manning coefficient?
curve number use extracting the basins. Why do we reuse the Manning coefficient?

I m doing 2010 flood stimulation. Can we use LULC from Sentinel-2 as it gives data from 2017. I have don eit by drawing classification regions and manning n value regions. Also which site give data of satellite images of specific day for comparing the inundated areas in HECRAS and actual on ground?

Hi, yes you can use it and you should consider this time limitation. However, if your watershed hasn't experienced significant changes over time it is suitable for your case. For observed flood extents you can use SENTINEL 1 for this issue and extract the water bodies for calibration of your hydraulic model. I hope I can get time to prepare a practical video about this issue. Best

also You have used here n values twice once in main HECRAS window in mesh where default n value was 0.06 and also in RAS Mapper. what if we use n values only in RAS Mapper once we created regions in it? will it works?

Ok, you are right and you should define n values in RasMapper and then in the main HEC-RAS (I mean Geometry window) you can change it if you wish. best
