      @@phoenixzappa7366 The theory regarding this type of accent goes like this. If the Queen and her family spoke with a slightly northern accent, people like him would change their accent in a Northern minute. The rest of us have true linguistic talents, since we can already do both, no matter whom we speak to. It's their tragedy that they know nothing of a 'telephone voice' and never will. How uneducated, how deprived. We triumph above those who are unable to untangle their vowels.

    Although this programme aired a year ago, the sentiments expressed by Prime Minister Boris Johnson is poignant. The reason; UK£ 250,000.00 per annum is salary for only 2 (two) days work. The day begins at 08:30 or 08:45. Lunch is 1 1/2 hours. The work day ends at 18:00 or 18:30 hh. Salary is paid in 6 (six) month installments by direct deposit. Cash is undergoing a "phaseout".
    Work is substantive and where overtime is required, they must work from home.

    • @maelewnchief5156
      @maelewnchief5156 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I neglected to mention UK£ 250,000.00 annual salary for TWO (2) DAYS a week only is NET PAY. If salary were UK£500,000.00 NET pay, the employee will have to work THREE (3) DAYS a week only. The work hours differ. Starting at 08:45 hh, lunch 1 1/2 hh, ending the day at 15:00 or 15:30. Reminder: NET PAY.

    Well I think you would get more "honest" politicians if you paid a more competitive salary to other sectors such as banking/business. They oversee multi billion society changing decisions and I'd like to think that they are paid accordingly. Maybe if you paid them more but banned outside lobbying then they may make positive changes for the average person.

    Very poor interviewer,
    Using a negative attitude with a bias that is blatant serves no one and not giving Mr. Johnson an opportunity to respond to very direct attacks is counter productive.
    Making remarks on very old stories that are meant to show the Mayor of London in a poor light has shown an opportunity squandered.
    I do not live in London or have as yet had the opportunity to have visited a remarkable city as London I find it would be good to really show
    the people of Britain and the world the greatness of this very old city,
    Thank you very much for giving me a venue for expressing my point of view.
    Regards to all the people of London, Liam
