    Thanks, Jason. I watched the entire video. When you do an in-stream ad, do you use an unlisted video? Do I need to create a separate channel for all the videos with ads?

      You could do it either way. If you choose to publish the listed video to your main channel, monitor it's watch completion rate. If that dips too low, it could have an organic impact on the channel overall (in a nutshelll).

      Yes… Google has a featured snippet called videos… They also, on mobile, have a short videos tab. It’s all about search engine optimization… So integrating the right keywords in your title and addressing topics that a prospective customer might search on Google.

    Just a note for people who come across this present day. For the que jumper ads there is no longer a "Video Discovery" Option. It is now known as "In-Feed Video Ad"

    Jason on Ad Discovery ads; when entering keywords specific to market, it says "you'll get little to no impressions because targeting is too narrow", and shows no estimates
    Is it safe to still run them like this in your experience?

      I assume you’re talking about the video discovery ads. Did you do research to ensure there was adequate search volume prior to running the ad? Candidly, if nobody is running the search, running and ad isn’t going to help. Makes sense? You should type that search phrase in your browser and see what videos rank, study the key words in their titles and so forth, and that may give you better optics on what keyboards to target against. You can also use a tool like tubebuddy or vidIQ to assist

    Hi Jason, I love your stuff on marketing and use a lot of it! I tried to do a new campaign on Google Ads yesterday according to this video. However, it keeps getting declined based upon the sensitivity issue regarding housing. I've checked it and made about 5 changes, trying to follow it to the letter and it keeps getting rejected. Any thoughts or ideas on what I might be doing wrong?

    Can I run these on my regular channel beside my SEO friendly content? I have heard others say to never do it that it will kill you channel. A market update style video has a short shelf life and is not really searchable anyways so would running the ad to that video do any damage to the rest of your videos. Great content, love your energy.

      The only way ads hurt your channel is if they don't perform -- meaning, they lower the organic performance of a video. If a bunch of your videos perform poorly (due to running ads), then the channel suffers.

    Great video! This is the first time I'm able to understand the 'new' Google advertising rules. Quick question for you Jason. Is it possible to run a TH-cam ad to a landing page in order to capture name, email and phone number? And AFTERWARDS, direct them to another page to view the information they want?
    Can't seem to figure this out. Thanks, and keep making these great videos.

      Yes, absolutely. You'd need to choose a "drive conversions" campaign goal and hook up third-party tracking (e.g. Google Analytics) to measure when forms get submitted on your landing page though. I alluded to it in the video but it's a tad more technical. Make sense?

    Hey Jason, do you think it's worth putting a CTA link and button on the market update videos? We currently have it link to the blog post on our website with the same market stats but Rob was thinking to just change it to a Subscribe button instead. The thought being, we want people to watch the video and not click out/away, but my thought is if they want more info, or want to know more about the company or the video content, then we should give them a direct link to us, as compared to having them go to google and try and find us. Thoughts?

      For the ad, I'd keep driving to the blog. You're running the ad w/ a max cost per view bidding strategy, so you'll mostly get views... however, if someone has enough intent to want more info on the topic, I'd want that traffic on my website w/ a contact form to schedule a consultation. That's just me

    Hi Jason, Great video! I am new to the Google ad world because all of my videos have been organic and I have a really good channel that I don't run ads on, but it's for buyers. BUT, Sellers are different, not as easy to capture. So I started a new channel to cater to them so I don't mess up the algorithm on my channel for buyers. I saw a google ads video where the person said to upload 2 videos of the same content, making one just a little shorter or longer so it won't get banned. Make one public, and one unlisted. Then run the ads for the unlisted so it won't hurt the organic search rankings. Any thoughts or suggestions about that? Thanks for the really good content.

      Here to help! I think that'd be fine. Some advertisers also create "stealth" channels to house their unlisted videos for ad purposes. That said you may wanna test ads using the actual videos and see how they do. Who knows, they may get a solid quality score and actually help organically.

Question about market update videos: what do you think are 2-3 key questions agents should answer for sellers about what's happening in the local real estate market? I have a client who regularly does market update videos, but I'd love to offer some guidance on how she can be more valuable to her audience beyond sharing average DOM and sales price. What would you ask YOURSELF about the market before creating a market update video to ensure you were offering the most value? Cheers!

      That depends on what changes in the marketplace. Some of the major driving forces are related to rates, inventory/available supply of homes, affordability, appreciation, etc. I'd definitely listen to the main points Keeping Current Matters communicates and go w/ that. Tom Ferry does a monthly Housing Report w/ President of KCM, David Childers. It's a must watch.
